Good news for them, bad news for you. Schadenfreude, they totally get off on the suffering of others.
Why else would anyone actually get up and clap when a preacher mentions sending the sinners to an eternity of fire and torture?

Hell is basically the death of your soul because you have sinned. The "good news" you refer to is Christ's Gospel that teaches that you don't have to die for your transgressions. Not people going to hell. Christ already did that for you. All you have to do is accept Christ as your savior. I like a lot of other Christians don't necessarily like the idea of anybody going to hell. Is there eternal suffering . No , hell is holding place where souls are placed during the Great White Throne Judgment. After that Hell and all Satan's followers are thrown into the fiery pit and are instantly gone forever. So sad and so unnecessary.

I'm not a "Bible-Fundamentalist", but for all Christian religions, the Good News isn't people going to hell, it's the coming (life, death and Resurrection) of Jesus...otherwise known as the Gospel.

You have missed the point. The good news is that people don't have to go to hell. The good news is that Jesus has come as the solution. Christians tell others that the solution is available because they *don't* want others to go to hell.

Deep down inside, they've always wanted to dance around a huge bonfire - but they're sadistic so they want the kindling made out of people.

well, ya can't have an exclusivity club without people to exclude. you can't be a "chosen one" unless there are those who are not chosen. elitism is fun for the elite. not only do the truth knowing elite get to wag their fingers at nonbelievers and have the power to consign nonbelievers to eternal torture while on Earth but they will also be rewarded in heaven for having chosen or for having been born into the correct religion. they'll get jewel encrusted crowns and sit in golden thrones while calling down to the nonChristians writhing in agony in hell "neener neener! told ya so!". it's all about the perks.

The good news is peoples opportunity to have a relationship with Jesus Christ. From there they have freedom of choice. Going to Hell isn't good news, it is a choice made by people.

One poster said it above. The good news is that Jesus saves from eternal hell. Don't want to go to hell? Believe that Jesus, who is God, died for your sins on the cross and rose again.

I've NEVER heard another Christian say that someone going to hell was good news, dear one! NEVER!
It's very BAD news! The GOOD NEWS, is that God sent His son as a sacrifice for mankind so that NOBODY has to go to hell. Jesus is your way out!
God bless!

The BAD news is that we're all damned by our own sin because we can never keep the law of God. The GOOD news is that there IS Someone who was able to keep the law and who died to pay the penalty for our not keeping it. He also came to give life, and more abundantly --- and all of this is totally *free*! THAT is the good news!
