This is just as pathetic as the last time (http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=Arx6MeQVRrGL2Hu2TtAuBc7sy6IX;_ylv=3?qid=20070929212218AA33hxU&show=7#profile-info-fba7MSLeaa ) you asked it, troll. At least, you spelled "believe" correctly this time.

>Do you believe so many stars n galaxy exsist for real?
Yes.
>i cannot believe so many stars even exist. i mean personally i think all telescopes are bunch of toys taking fake pictures.
Why would you think that?
>solar system is a lie and earth is flat immobile circle.
Okay, let me give you some facts that totally disprove the flat Earth idea:
1. Universal gravitation can be detected in laboratories, totally disproving this ridiculous BS about the Earth constantly accelerating upwards to make gravity.
2. The curvature of the Earth's surface can be detected even with the naked eye; if you look at a mountain while moving away from it across a flat surface, you will see it not only appear to grow smaller, but also sink below the horizon. This effect has been known for hundreds of years and demonstrates that the Earth is not flat.
3. We have been launching spacecraft into orbit for just over 50 years now (the 50th anniversary was a few days ago). These spacecraft have taken many pictures of the Earth that show it to be round. Additionally, even if you believe that the pictures (and even the streaming video) are fakes, you can actually see satellites moving across the sky with the naked eye, another test that requires no special laboratory instruments and which disproves the flat Earth theory.
4. When flying from place to place in a jet airplane, you can observe the Sun and the Moon moving across the sky at different speeds (and even in different directions, if you're going fast enough). The fact that they both appear the same size over time already disproves the flat Earth theory. If that's not enough for you, a quick calculation from the rate at which the ground is moving under you and the changes in angle between the Sun and the horizon will show that the flat Earth theory is incorrect.
See? There exists an enormous amount of evidence in favor of a round Earth, much of which can easily be seen even without scientific instruments. Universal gravitation and a round Earth let everything we observe fall into place so neatly. On the other hand, the flat Earth theory requires so many intricate and highly arbitrary mechanisms just to fit what we can see with our eyes that it makes absolutely no sense. Logic is about making your theories fit the evidence, not twisting the evidence to fit a preconceived theory as you and other flat-earthers are doing.
>please take bible literally or you are a fool. scientists should grow up too.
What, now taking the Bible on faith and ignoring mountains of evidence that says the Earth is round is 'growing up'? You really believe that it is more mature to ignore the stupendous mountains of evidence in favor of a round Earth, just because some ancient book says something about the Earth being flat? How can you possibly claim that there is anything valid about these ridiculous beliefs? It's just astounding that people can be so good at ignoring the facts.

I'm just glad the Earth is the center of the universe and the Sun revolves around us.
Hey, the Earth is flat because a spherical object can't have "four corners" like the bible says the Earth has. Also, the sky is held up by pillars (according to the bible), which is also a clue that the inspired-by-God authors of the "good book" knew the Earth is shaped like a waffle.

actually, the bible states some very scientifically relevant quotes. I can't remember the exact verse but Job mentions that the earth hangs in space on nothing, and somewhere else mentions that the earth is round and that God's love is as far as the distance from west to east (which is implied to be infinite, since the earth is spheric)
The bible also says that the stars are countless. It used that metaphor for Abraham's offspring, remember?
The only thing I can imagine this would conflict with would be that if the stars are infinite, then the sky would have to be infinitely bright too. Then again, there could be infinite black holes (that trap light)..

Geez, now you have me all puzzled. on the instant isn't April 1st is it? And while you're incredibly severe, you like some incredibly severe help. The Flat Earth Society does not enable contributors with an IQ greater desirable than their shoe length.

That's *got* to be trolling.
One day after the 50th anniversary of Sputnik?
Shortly after getting satellites to go round, (round!) the planet, we worked on getting them to stay still relative to the earth (geostationary, first suggested by Arthur C Clarke)
And it didn't involve nailing them to the firmament.
Sorry, I'm inclined to trust Arthur C Clarke and Edwin Hubble.

I'm sorry, where does it say the earth is flat.
Where does the Bible tell us there are only 5000 stars. The bible and science go together, and a fact most people forget to mention is that most early scientists were christians.
I also understand how a telescope works, and have built one myself, I don't believe that they could be fake pictures.

Well, for one thing, the stars do move with respect to each other. It's a slow movement in human terms, but well-measured.
