Is R&S becoming more and more like "Lord of the Flies"....????

Question

Does anyone else think the abuse reporting is getting out of hand around here?

Can't we all appreciate our disagreements and respect our rights to free speech?

Do we have to report abuse every time our feelings are hurt?

Are there any older mature people engaged in this type of censorship - or are most of you like me thinking - whether Christian or Atheist - most of the abuse reporting around here is done by immature, irresponsible teen-agers?

So I ask you - is R&S just a bizarre on-line world where all the power is in the hands of some crazy kids - like "Lord of the Flies"?!?

PS - I am a Christian, been insulted here many times in some of the most vile and disgusting ways imaginable - age 37 - and have never reported any one no matter how hateful or offensive I consider their post to be.....and never will.

Actually - even though we disagree almost all the time - I find your posts to be very well thought-out, articulate, intelligent responses.

Im a pagan, Cherokee and I do understand what you mean for i have been bashed so many times by extremist of your faith so i totally see your point.

I guess I look at it this way, I know it is not all Christians for I have many Christian friends. Its just a few kids and extremist who like to get their jollies off causing conflict with us adults.

Most of us are moderate people and respectfull of others wishes. I know I certainly am. i have no issues with peoples choice of faith be it Christian, Buddhists or Jewish so long as they respect my choice as a native american. this does not make anyone right or wrong, it show tolerance and acceptance of other views by listening and debateing things. That is fine. Here in Y!A its impossible to express an opinion different than a Zealout, and I mean of all faiths or non faiths when I say Zealot for we all have them within our groups.

IT IS they who are causing us grief and acting the the kids in Lord of the Flies.

You see, Im pagan and your Christian but i agree with you whole heartedly. the bashing needs to stop it leads no where but to more hate.

It is ok to agree to disagree. I get thumbed down by my own people sometimes because ill state that its only extremist Christians or religious people depending on the questions and people who answered that do the basing.

The bad is within them already and instead of embracing their faith they use it as a weapon and excuse to wage war. I wish more were like you and a few others I have met.

I know a few Christians as well as Jews and Pagans that are near ashamed to be what they are because of this section and the way othes bash and brand them, its almost like Salem Witch trials all over again or the Lord of the Flies as you say.

I hope that we can get more moderate people such as yourself of all faiths to answer more so we can get real answers to questions.

i hope you know that not all pagans hardly will bash you in fact most of the bashing is usually atheists, but even they are no different for they have their extremist too. we all do. SO what do we do about it?

we all know the reporting system here is not very good so I am not sure the correct way for us all to handle it except try to ignore them and support the others who are moderate whether we agree or do not agree as long as they are respectful with their answer.

WTF???! I thought you've already eat your hamburger??! -(Most people get those cysts 'out', meaning of the outside of the epidermis, skin; but there's some people, like you, that cysts 'incubate' ( sort of speak) on the inside, and when you noticed it it's painful and growing really fast. This is common, and it's not that it's growing fast, because it was 'already' growing on the inside for a long time without noticing it. -Now: It hurts, I know, but 'leave it alone'. Do not do anything to it. Just let it "fully develop". -Then go to the doctor, and you'll be either given a medication and/Or an injection right on the cyst to drain it and dry it out. -And, don't cry because your testicles will fall off if the sack is cut open, remember? I already took care of that, don't worry anymore, cool?)-

I believe posts that are offensive and are of no real value should be reported. To ask the question "Why are all mormon women fat" which is a question I saw a few days back, is rude and has no bearing on religion whatsoever.

SO I REPORTED IT. People who write that kind of nonsense have no intention on educating or helping the masses.

They only want confusion and derision.

i sure hope not..i dont like the way ppl try to trap you with stuff...it stinks... they cant handle others opinions...i dont think about what they do in their pagan churches and someone reported me for saying that...get real...i will seek out other sections..
