Most guys I know, ( disabled) think that the only reason a female is interested in them is to see if they can, ahem, perform, or out of curiousity. Then they get rude about it. So, i was just askin' .

I am debating with a friend of mine who thinks that it is supposed to be standing "on" line, such as at the grocery store. I believe it is the other ("in"). I'd like to see who else agrees or doesn't, and I would also like to know where you are located (to see if it is a 'regional' thing). You don't have to say your specific location, but "East Coast", "Midwest", "South", West", etc would be helpful. Thank you!

It seems that the new fad is to no longer use the label of "Christian" and instead go for the more seeker sensitive "Christ follower" .
Being that we claim the attributes of our names, it seems to me that this simple difference could be very important.
The word Christian means "like Christ". We try to live our lives to His standards.
Now let's look at Christ follower. Even the Pharisees and Sadducees that persecuted Christ FOLLOWED Him.
You don't have to love or worship someone to follow them. We read in the bible that multitudes followed Jesus, but it was the leper that had faith and approached Him directly that was cleansed.
What do you think?

Risking to get a lot of thumbs down, I am asking this question, because I could never understand what was so special about princess Diana that people were (and still are) so psyched about her. She was not a role model - not a bright student in school, then also bulimic, depressed, with personality disorders, sleeping around a lot even before her divorce. Yeah, she did some charity, but all celebrities do that, it's not like it is something unheard of. She was not even pretty if that's one of the reasons to like her. Given her mediocre personality and life, why is she so revered?

How does that even make a bit of sense? Sure, being a Jew or black or a woman isn't a choice and it is seen as "harsh" to demean them...but just because I believe in something does not give someone of a different belief the right to insult me personally does it?

Just because I made a choice to believe that my religion is true does not give ANYONE the right to insult me. How does "it's your choice to be Christian" even come close to justifying insulting a Christian?

That's like saying....you're a woman? Well you can have a sex change....you can choose your race.

Or oh...you're black? well you can get bleached and relax your hair...you don't have to be black.

It's not the same in those terms because you have to change yourself. But it is almost the exact same thing when insulting a black for being black and insulting a Christian for being a Christian.

It's a double standard and it is unacceptable.

Agree?

Don't tell me it's science. It isn't science.

Don't tell me it's logic, because you are in denial.

Just admit that I'm right, it's a faith issue, you have faith that you are right.

There is scientific proof that a woman's egg can somehow empregnate itself ( I don't know all the details of it but science is working on it). Scientists believe that in a few years they women will no longer have to have a man to have a baby. Can it be possible that this has already happened once to Mary? That God had nothing to do with it? What are your thoughts? Please don't list tons of scripture either! **hugs** I already know the bible. I'm just "saying".....

Bad names like the N-word...

And of course to demean any other minority like women, Jews, etc...

When, if ever, will it be unacceptable to insult a Christian? Why is it that if Don Imus would've said Christians are nappy headed hos, the Rev. Jesse Jackson and the other guy would've been on TV and that would be the end of it...

But because He called a basketball team nappy headed hos, he got all that of above and fired and then re-hired, etc.etc.et.c?

I don't think it's right and it's a double standard. If a kid in school calls a black kid the n-word he'll be suspended, but if he insults a Christian...will anything be done to him?

While I am new to spellwork, I am not new to energywork and spirituality. I don't plan on influencing other people's free will with any spells, only giving myself a shove in the right direction I hope. If a spell is cast with positive intentions, does not involve anyone besides myself (such as freedom from being tired and some bad habits and whatnot) and has a disclaimer attached that it be for my highest good - am I good to go?

I read that the ease by which things are gotten by magical means will demand payment in some form down the road. Is that true as I'm new to this, but am not the tpye to look on the negative side of things...input? Is that true for magical workings or just people who aren't careful and havn't thought their work through properly...

Thank You.

It would seem to me that a forum called Religion and Spirituality would be a little more tolerant, accepting, and loving than what is on display. Is it irrational to expect peace and harmony from people who are obviously irrational?

Without offending anyone and getting my answers censored. Seems like (to me) most of the questions asked "on answers" are from kids wanting to get their homework done for them or from people that have a love life problem. As a senior...should I help the kids..(I help my grand-kids) and I know I shouldn't...but I can't help it.

People are always commenting on my sister, Quella Bella, and I, and how unnaturally close we are. They are always referring to our too affectionate displays in public. It has resulted in veritable scandal!

Isn't gossip like this a sin? We had to hold each other for hours last night just to comfort each other over the pain this gossip has caused!

has anyone had much experience using the Gothic tarot deck by Joe Vargas? I am breaking one in and thought it would be hard to deal with because some of the images don't corrospond to the Rider deck but surprisingly it has proven to be easy to transfer the meanings. What are your experiences?
