While I am new to spellwork, I am not new to energywork and spirituality. I don't plan on influencing other people's free will with any spells, only giving myself a shove in the right direction I hope. If a spell is cast with positive intentions, does not involve anyone besides myself (such as freedom from being tired and some bad habits and whatnot) and has a disclaimer attached that it be for my highest good - am I good to go?

I read that the ease by which things are gotten by magical means will demand payment in some form down the road. Is that true as I'm new to this, but am not the tpye to look on the negative side of things...input? Is that true for magical workings or just people who aren't careful and havn't thought their work through properly...

Thank You.

James B: Lol. Whatever. It's all relative and in your center of the universe you are right I'm sure. In mine, it's real and I'm asking people who share the same views and are not negative and slam other people's beliefs. ; )

Kaldea: Thank you m'am. I read a post of yours on someone elses q, added you as a contact as your energy feels literally like a fresh wind. I was pleased to see you had also answered my post and your comment is what I thought too and I'm working with the same universe I have been for years right? I shouldn't buy into the drama I'm reading and go back to knowing who I am and what I stand for. Thanks again.

It depends entirely on the paradigm within which you work.

I think you're on the right track. I warn people away from the "disclaimer" approach, however. It is your responsibility to examine the spell (or other action) and determine whether it is for your hightest good. The universe will not helpful censor itself for you. That's like firing a gun randomly and asking the bullet to make sure it doesn't hit anyone.

I suspect disclaimers most often fizzle spells anyway. Spellwork is an extension of will. It works because you know it will work. Putting in an if statement introduces doubt. Doubt kills spells.

Nothing in the universe is free. You only get out of something what you put into it. Magic doesn't send a bill - it demands payment up front. It's like putting gas in a car. You can't do it after the fact. It just doesn't work. The bigger the goal, the bigger the cost: time, energy, concentration, discipline, preparation, etc. Magic does not make life easier. It is merely another tool at our disposal.

It sounds like you have the right idea in mind, but another exercise before you start might be to ask yourself:

1) Is there any other way this goal could be accomplished? For example - "Am I also trying to accomplish this goal through mundane means?" All the "find a job" spells in the world won't do a lick of good unless you're also sending out resume's, and weight loss spells don't fare well in the presence of unlimited ice cream. =)

2) What possible negative effects could come from the spell? Is there someone else who might be affected, and do you need to specifically word the spell to avoid that problem? For example - a spell to bring money into your life could come in the form of an inheritance from someone else's death, and that's probably not what you had in mind, so think carefully about possible repercussions. A spell for rain affects not only you, but everyone around you (unless you can get it to rain just on your lawn, which would be a neat trick! ;) ) and the harmless shower that waters your grass could rain out a wedding or other event simply because you didn't want to stand there with a hose.

In general, the energy you put out will come back to you. Some say threefold, some say ninefold. So you need to be careful and put the forethought into your work.

read that the ease by which things are gotten by magical means will demand payment in some form down the road. """""

Ok, Im gonna give my 2 cents on this one, i wanted to note first though, that its not like you will have every spell you do come to furiuiton. Expect for things to fall through.

As to the disclaimer, yeah i do that too, because some forms of magick are a bit more "free" or "unruly" than others, dispite there adherance to ritual. For example if you were say practicing creating a servitor,(found in ritual magick and chaos) you might not proclaim your intent in a non distructive way. Or if you were evocking a sprit to do your will you might for get to give them limitations and then Bam.. they go and cause a car accident and you get some money...yeah trial and error people trila and error... :)

I would also suggest that even though you do not like to be a negitive person, and neither do I; you might want to at least learn about the bad things that go on. There are a lot of diffrent kinds of people in the world and you already know theres bad apples in every bunch. Learn all about your gods and invoke them often, that way you get a real feel for the aspects that they govern. Seckhmet is one of my beloved dieties, she weeps tears of blood for her fallen children..however, the tears she weeps hit the sand and turn in to ruthless warroirs sent to dystroy her enimies. She has two qualities shown here both are part of life and both are going to be apprent in spells that you evoke her for. One is compassion, the other is ruthless vengance.

As for the part where you have to pay the piper, i dont really feel it is like that unl;ess you acctually give a offering in exchange for assistant from a sprit or god. Karma, is the cashier here. If you do bad things, bad things will eventually happen to you, if you do good things the same applies. However.. good and bad will always occur weather or not you ever cast a spell for any reason. Life is a balance, so every good thing you do will prolly cause a bad thing to happen somewhere else in the world.. The only reason people dont see how much good is in our world is because they are too obsessed with the bad things. well good luck with your experimntation, it will be a wild ride.

I would like to make a suggestion. First, of all what is the source of the power in which you work ? Is it a power of light or darkness? Is the source able to communicate with you and be verified by a legitimate source outside of yourself? Is the basis for this legitmacy have a accountable and dependable foundation that is able to step in and help if you are lost? Finally, is this direction you have chosen guaranteed to eliminate you from the pressures of everyday living and make you feel whole or total?

I submit to you that the answer to most or all of these questions at best will be vague and will take more research. There is no magic (illusion or deception) that can deal with the real problems of everyday living. It is another way to hide from your responsibilities of living life in its proper terms. As humans we have only two ways to live on the earth superficially or with substance. If you don't get to the spiritual issues that lie dormant below every natural bad or good habit you are not going to get a true and real solution. Also, without sounding condescending or trite I suggest you take this final test. Call on your source and ask them to heal someone that you know and love very much that is sick or in a very serious life dilemna. Now while you are waiting for this healing go to the bible and read Psalms 23. Allow the reading to create a picture in your mind, follow through and follow the end of the reading. Now if after doing and answering all of my questions and you still feel a greater power with your source than the source I offer to you. Then I must say of a truth that magic really does work. Why? Because you have been so illusioned from the truth that unfortunately this very act of God was unable to move you away from foolishness to reality, from recreation to repentance and finally from death unto life.

For those that come to know and worship the one true and living God, must do so in spirit and in truth.

The truth of the matter is that there are two sources in the world the kingdom of satan and the Kingdom of God. Which do you choose to be your source?

You are on the right track! As for the demand of payment, that sounds like something from "Full Metal Alchemist"... If you work hard to put the spell together and do it with good intentions and the like, you will be ok. There is a saying that if you send out bad, it will return to you full force... If you do good and send out good you will get back the same.

All things have a price called equivilent excange when you gain you must lose, to lose you must gain, but a disclaimer and a protection spell cuppled at the end should allow you tho gain with out sacrifice if you catch my drift, but other than that you are on the right track.

Email me any questions.

Yes. Everything must begin at some point. In your case, it will be the point where you begin wasting your time.

Spells are imaginary. If it amuses you to pretend then go for it and enjoy.
