My spouse's uncle (his dad's brother) died recently and I have never met him. My spouse wasn't close to him and he was old (maybe 80ish) when he passed but he says that he was a "good man". My spouse isn't good at writing letters in general. So I would be the one writing a condolence letter to the family and having my spouse sign it. I have writers block on what to say. We won't be going to the funeral because we can't afford it. Spouse's family lives in France and we live in the United States.
Any ideas on what to say? Looking for constructive advice only. Thanks!

"If all the gold in the world were melted down into a solid cube, it would be about the size of an eight room house. If a man got possession of all that gold -- billions of dollars worth -- he could not buy a friend, character, peace of mind, clear conscience or a sense of eternity."

You try talking to family members and they are always in a hurry. On their way to one thing or another or they get this look on their face and their body language says can you hurry please. Just curious. I think today people are just to busy and self absorbed. Just my opinion. An example my fourteen year old cat is sick. My husband says coldly she is going to die. Just like that. By the way I have her at the vet today. She is not dieing she has an infection.

1) Christians assert that Jesus claimed to be God when they quote him in John 14:9: "He that has seen me has seen the Father". Didn't Jesus clearly say that people have never seen God, as it says in John 5:37: "And the father himself which has sent me, has borne witness of me. You have NEITHER HEARD HIS VOICE AT ANY TIME NOR SEEN HIS SHAPE"?

2) If Moses wrote the first books of the Old Testament, how could Moses write his own obituary? Moses died in the fifth book at age 120 as mentioned in Deut. 34:5-10.

3) Why do the Christians say that Jesus came with a universal mission when he said that he was sent to the Jews only? He said to the Canaanite woman who asked him to heal her daughter from demon-possession: "I was sent ONLY to the lost sheep of Israel" and also said: "It is not right to take the children's bread and toss it to their dogs", Matthew 15:21-28.

I have more but please answer these first. thanks.

I used to look forward to having a giggle with you all but some days the atmosphere seems a bit down.
So at the risk of yet another v mail coming my way I'm hoping to give you some thing to laugh at.

A man in the drs waiting room asks a lady why she is crying.

"I'm here for a blood test and the nurse will have to cut my finger" the lady sniffs.

The man starts to weep too.
"Why are you upset?" the lady asks.

The man looks at her pitifully and whispers:

"I'm here for a urine test!"

So my question is, have I brightened this page up enough to start putting the laughter back? lol x

Of whom a man(of child/man) is overcome,
of the same is he brought in bond-age: 2Peter 2:19

Grace: view from above: the mission
Law: views from be-low: sub-mission

servants(slaves, prophets) and children differ nothing
both know nots have to be told: what to do and don't

So, the higher exhortations are:
- be no more children(get tossed to<-->fro by law<-->law)
- thou art no more a servant(slave), but above a servant: Son

she has a been a Christian for years. She says her dead brother spoke to her and told her that she has things to do on this earth. I have always known her to be an extremely honest person I do believe she had this experience.

My sincere question is this.........What do Christians and non Christians think of this experience? and please say why you believe what you do.

Think about this very carefully before you answer.
And the second part of the question:
Why are these not practiced?
I would really like to know & I would appreciate it, if you could do this without quoting Scripture, because that doesn't mean anything to me.
I just want to know, WHY?

Too be saved, you must accept Jesus Christ into your life and repent of your sins. Thats the only way to become a Christian. Now if you believe there isn't a savior, how could you say you ever was forgiven and made a christian? The fact you dont believe you was ever saved, means you never was a Christian, right?

Im trying too look at this, from a logical point, I know I didnt say it very well. Forgive me. 8)

I am studying intent in the area of spell casting. My question is whether one can use the power of an emotion such as hate to power the intent of a spell focused on love or another goal other that that of the focus of the emotion used. Can that energy be transformed into the intent needed even if that energy orginally was gathered from another focus?
