Jehova, Odin, Zeusy Boy, Ra, Vishnu, Thor, Hades, Chuck Norris, Loki, Osiris, Poseidon and it goes on and on.
I looked though this list in wiki and only about 20% of all the gods are godesses. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_gods

And has there ever been a female prophet? I just don't get it!
Are there no female prophets because the gods are sexist and choose males as prophets?

If you were thinking of a guy as you stepped out of your car,
and then you walked in a store. But before you walked out of the store , you bumped into that exact guy. I never see this guy or even think of him. Suddenly I think of him today and within 10 minutes, I see him! We used to date. And all my horoscopes say ---signs point to love!


Is that a coincidence or "something bigger"?

What would you do if tomorrow, the governing body said that it would be scripturally alright to have a blood transfusion.

Are there any cities/neighborhoods in Arizona that have Christmas light competitions between houses (who can decorate their house the prettiest; most lights, etc.) in neighborhoods where people can drive through those neighborhoods and look at the houses all decorated in lights? : )

How do you determine in the social order that humans are on the top (or at least above animals)?

It would be through our intellect and complex thought process that elevates us above animals, right?

I see this a lot on here. The catholic church claims they have an unbroken line of popes. However as I have studied this it seems not to be the case. For instance for nearly 1000 years there was a pope Donus II. Until it was discovered he did not exist. Then there is Pope Formosus who was declared a heretic after his death. This does not even take into account the so-called anti-popes. So my question is how is this an unbroken line?

Last night at this seminar, a man preached and said " God DID NOT create sin" He created Lucifer( Satan) and Satan created sin...I know that God created all things that are good...and Lucifer(Satan) was good..but he created sin...how is that..I am very confused on this subject. Please help..I also dont understand why God just didnt do away with it or with him(Satan) I need answers and verses to back it up. Thanks

i was doing some research about science \ because my gf is always questioning my beliefs and i found some funny things.

skeptics say that its absurd that God spoke the universe in2 being because nothing can be created out of nothing but yet most of those same people believe that the universe just happened(the big bang theory,etc...)
also some scientist spend their life trying to create life in laboratories so they can prove that no intelligent being created the fist life.

any1 else think this is funny?any1 think that its funny that people say the bible contradicts itself and they have no proof that it does(taking it out of context does not count) and yet their precious scienties contradict themself and i can prove it?

Supposedly Jesus sacrificed himself on the cross to save humanity and open the gates of heaven to us. But if God is omnipotent, why did he have to go through all of that? Couldn't he just have snapped his fingers and open the gates of heaven instantly?

And why were the "gates of heaven" ever closed in the first place? Why couldn't they have just always been open?

I have heard the above argument from people and here is my response:

He DOES give us evidence. When you are filled with the Holy Spirit you are filled with a feeling that is so strong that you cannot deny it. This feeling is from God.

God is on a whole other plain than us. He does not communicate in the same way we do. We cannot even begin to comprehend Him entirely now, nor could we ever hope to.

But the feeling that you get in your heart let's you know this isn't just something that is coming from within. The feeling is indescribable.

Imagine if you met someone that had never had salt before and you had to describe to them what it tasted like. You could say it's not sweet. It's not bitter, but this is what it doesn't taste like. Try telling someone what it IS.

It is not always easy to feel the spirit, because Satan tempts us, but we must keep the faith and be strong.

Agree?
