I started a job a few months ago,almost everyone there is a gossip hound. People talk behind each others back constantly. I try not to talk to those people, but it seems not to matter to them. what would u do?

Don't get involved. Don't listen to it, and never ever make comment on it.

I can empathize with you, the same thing occurs at my job...the more you try to avoid those individuals, the more they try to drag you into the gossiping. A company's real "corporate culture" is something you never ever will hear about during a job interview. I've decided to do 2 things: pay attention to good gossip (e.g. major changes occurring in the company, potential layoffs), and ignoring bad gossip (talking negatively about fellow co-workers), and looking for a new and much better job. I suggest you do the same. Good luck!!!!

just be pleasant and ignore the gossip about people.

Could it be perhaps that you're a GIANT CHICKEN, and kind of freaking them out?

I'd think you all of, could accept a pecking order

ignore them. there is a name for those type of people but i wont say cause i might get flagged
