This year I will be spending Thanksgiving home alone. My family and friends have already made prior arrangements in which it is not an option for me to be included, so it will just be my cats in me.

So far I am thinking that renting a couple holiday themed movies might be fun, and cooking will definitely be fun - I would love some ideas for which movies, and what should I cook that will be reasonable for one person? What other activities will make me feel not as lonely? I'm used to having big family events, so this will be difficult.

I know there is a lot of time to go until Thanksgiving, but planning early will not hurt anything!

I was told that on the hat the Pope wears the words "Vicarius Filii Dei"is on it..and its translation meansVicar(substitute/in the place of God) Filii -son Dei-God..he said that if you add up the numbers in Latin that it equals 666...is that a coincedence or is he trying to convert ppl to believe his ways..Guys I am so lost with this stuff..I dont know anymore

I was wondering if you guys find Arabic men more attractive then other men. I know a lot of interracial marriages between Egyptians, Moroccans etc. I myself converted to Islam last march I plan to go visit Tunisia to find a suitable husband?. What do you guys think?

Nane' is a place name in Brazil, probably Portuguese origin. I would like to use the word to name my pet Red-foot tortoise which might have come from that general area.

However, I don't have a clue how to pronounce it!

i mean old testament is right or wrong?
the new testament is wrong or right?huh.
but Christ didn't wrote the new testament. isn't that wrong, people writing on the Bible and thinks it is right while other people read it and thinks it is right. maybe the people who wrote the NEw Testament is wrong..
so this is where i don't get it..

My pup ran off yesterday and he seemed good and gone, no trace or sign, despite much searching and advertisement. Today, a neighbor casually said, "I have your dog." This evening I learned that every family member who knew of my pup's disappearance had vowed to pray for his safe return. People who got the little makeshift poster I made also said they were praying for his return. This evening he is home. Was it prayer (God intervening), coincidence (random pingpong dog movements), chaos (some hidden mathematical symmetry), karma (for always being kind to dogs), whatever? I am glad to have my pup back, whether it be one or all of these guiding agents. What ideas do you have?

If you read Genesis 4:18 you may find what I think is a type-o. It reads: "...Mehujael became the father of Metusael, and Methusael became the father of Lamech." As you may see, Metusael and Methusael are spelled differently, yet, according to it's context, it should be the same person.

I truthfully don't know where universe comes from. But I know God didn't create it, because if he created the universe, who created God? And if a God-god created God, who created the God-god?

I think that it's strange that people are so concerned with where the Universe comes from. They answer "God created it". But somehow the question of "Where did God come from?"doesn't fit on their agendas. If God is going to be the answer for you, I'm concerned with where he came from.

If you say that he was "just there", I'm predisposed to think that it's possible that the Universe could have "just been here" also, so that doesn't fall into my category of 'good answers'.

So, anyone care to take a shot at this one?

Today a rep. from HICAP (which is an agency that helps Seniors with all their
insurance questions), addressed our Sr.
lunch program and told us......
All Part D recipients that were on Medicaid or MediCal and transferred over to subsidized insurance coverage
for your meds.....Will receive a very
IMPORTANT questionnaire from Soc.
Security in the next few days.
This is legitimate and must be filled out in full and returned to the address
they state.
If this is not returned by the deadline
they set....you will no longer receive
subsidized meds.
The meds I speak of are when you
only have to pay $1.00 to $6.00 per
prescription (due to your low income.)
Why are we getting this? Because
at the start of the program, the Feds
transferred over everyone that was
on Medicaid without a recertification.
There were people that did not qualify,
so now we must all prove that we qualify for this program.
If you can help any other Sr. with poor
eyesight or who does not understand
please do!!

I've been corrected from ending with a tchoth-"key", to tchoth-"ka".
This is the second time it has happened so I'm sure that the second version is correct here on the west coast. I first heard and used the word back east. Can I be right too? I hate being wrong. Plus...I can't improve my spanish if I have to fix my yiddish.
