Why would you believe in evolution? Do you enjoy thinking that you were created from a small blob to whatever to whatever to a monkey to who you are today?

God created the Heavens and the Earth (Gen 1:1)
Creation states that God made everything from nothing...He also took special care in creating every detail about you from your looks to your personality to the parents you have...and only bc He loves you...He even gave His Son for you.
Have Faith in God!

To which creation story do you refer? Pretty much every culture / religion (except Buddhism and Taoism) has one. Christianity / Judaism even has two, Biblically speaking. (One from the northern tribes, one from the southern, i.e. the mud story and the rib story.) I would say that, for most people, it would take more faith to believe that one of these many stories was "true" to the exclusion of all others. (I include evolution as one of these stories.)

I am uncertain why creationism and evolution have such a difficult time peacefully co-existing in the minds of those who argue such issues. Isn't it possible within the scope of infinity / quantum reality that all of these things are simultaneously true? That is the nature of infinity -- not only that all things could exist, but in a sense they do and must. I suppose one's view of the limitations of "true" might likewise coincide with one's view of the limitations of infinite.

When evidence is involved you don't need faith, only the capacity to understand it.

As I asked in a previous question: would you accept a forensics report entirely on faith or would you understand that the experts behind it have studied it and they know what they're talking about?

Then again, it's the English language and "faith" can mean a lot of things in different contexts. Here though, I'm talking about faith meaning unquestioning belief as opposed to faith meaning trust.

No.

Evolution has been in about every science textbook since Darwin.

Religion is a BELIEF. Not a fact or a theory. Just something people put in a book supposedly "inspired by God".

Edit: Apostle Jeff--

Do you honestly believe there's no evidence to support evolution, and that the Bible is something that can stand as evidence? I take it you never listened to your "evil" science teachers in school...

And bessiedarlin--

Actually, God supposedly created you from dirt. I'll take my common ancestor to apes, thank you very much.

No. Scientists have more facts to help develop the Theory of Evolution. Creationism is barely a Hypothesis.

Yes, it takes more faith to believe in evolution because there is absolutely no evidence to support it, while Science supports the Bible version of Creation.

No. Do you know why? There is well documented evidence that supports evolution, if you care to read it. You can't say that for Creationism.

No.

All the people I've seen making this claim are either liars, misled by liars, willfully ignorant on the subject of evolution, or have a poor understanding of the meaning of the word "faith."

Faith means trust. Darwin had faith in his theory. But we have many facts, from fossils to our own dna.

No.
The theory of evolution is based on evidence that has been observed. No "faith" required.

"Creation" requires belief in magical, invisible super-beings for which there is no evidence.
