I think that there is something to be said for cross-cultural marriages. (I was in one with a hispanic man - mexican) It takes a lot of communication, education, understanding, forgiveness for a cross-cultural relationship to work. I find relationships difficult under the best circumstances. If you add another culture, language, belief system etc. it makes relationships even harder to maintain. Even though you have converted to Islam, culturally you are still American and you have been raised with certain ideals. I think you need to look at what will be expected of you and if you can accept those limitations. I have known arab-american marriages that have worked. One very happy couple I know lives in the United States and the man, though Islamic did not make his wife convert. Just be careful.

I think it's personal choice. If it's your choice - marvellous - and good luck with your quest.
Personally, I prefer to be treated with respect, and as an equal
kkbaby - sorry, but being 13 is no excuse for ignorance. Terrorism is not exclusive to Islam - try researching the COMPLETE history of the Christian religion. There are, and always will be, rabid extremists in every belief system, every organised religion.
Me, I'll just stick woth being free and neither judging nor harming anyone..

No. I do not find them to be attractive. They seem to have less respect for white women than American men have. I am too independent to step back in time & put up with men who think of women as simple objects that need a man to survive in the world. I have known many women who have married foreigners & regretted doing so.

women find men attractive sometimes and some more attractive but there is no accounting for taste and blanket generalizations should be regarded as such just as we are taught quite appropriately in grade school . All generalizations are false including this one .

After you spend some time in Tunisia and other places outside of America, you just might learn to appreciate American men. There's all the difference in the world in how they treat women.

So you're going on a quest to find a Husband, but he has to be from a certain place and ethnic background? Sounds to me like you're severely limiting yourself.
You didn't mention if you're in the US, but if you are, have you failed to notice that there are plenty of them here????

My boyfriend is of Iranian decent (born in USA), but I wouldn't say I'm more attracted to his variety than others. I'm pretty open about race when it comes down to it. I'm more interested in being with someone I like than someone who looks good.

Why did you convert to Islam? Was it to get close to an Arabic man?
Please be careful...very careful!
I hope you don't realize the "truth" after it's too late.
