I'm an addict. I'm not using anymore, but I wonder if I will ever NOT be an addict. Or if that's possible?

I think that you will NOT be an addict as long as you NEVER start using again. I also know that not using involves going to meetings and not losing sight of the personality traits, etc. that lead to using in the first place.
Nobody is above the urge to use, nor the need to refrain if they have stopped.
I am definitely not one to judge because I am oh so human.

Congratulations on not using anymore. Unfortunately, once an addict always an addict. One can be sober and clean for a very very long time and pick up and use and find themselves back into addictive behaviour.

I do believe control is possible through lifestyle and attitude changes.

Keep it up!
