Just because a person gets saved and born again don't mean they are going to be perfect, every born again Christian is still a sinner, but he has accepted the free gift offered by Jesus when he died on the cross, No one is perfect, of course Jesus was but they crucified him, Being a Christian does not make you a perfect person and I ask for forgiveness of my sins everyday. I know I make mistakes and I admit it. Now of course you are right Christians shouldnot go around talking bad about others, as a Christian I should grow in my faith and knowledge of Jesus Christ and start being able to overcome some of my weaknesses. I am definitely a work in progress. If you would like to become a Christian I can show you how right here, if you believe Jesus died on a cross for you, it was Jesus who said you must be born again to enter into the kingdom of Heaven, just say this sinners prayer,Dear Jesus, I know and confess that I am sinner in need of salvation. I believe you died on a cross at calvery and arose from the grave to wash away my sins, I ask you right now to come into my heart and save me, I pray this Prayer believing in the name of Jesus Amen. If you prayed this prayer with a sincere heart you are now a child of God, rejoice that your name is written in the Lambs book of Life. If you have any questions just send me an email, God Bless YOU!!

You are right when you say that some born-again people badmouth others. All people sin, whether they are born-again or not. Also, some people say that they are born-agian, but they are lying or they just think that they are born-again--they are actually hypocrites. Fortunately, Jesus God's Son died and rose again for every person who has ever lived and will ever live. Through this deed, He forgave everybody. As long as a person turns away from his sin and believes that Jesus has forgiven him, he will go to heaven. The Gospel is all about what God has done for us. We can do nothing to save ourselves--we are dead in our trespasses and sins. "Our righteousnesses are as filthy rags."--Isaiah 64:6. Read "The Fire and the Staff" by Klemet I. Preus. It's an excellent book that explains this and a whole lot more, plus it's easy to understand. ISBN 0-7586-0404-1

By the way, God never excuses sin; He blames Jesus or He blames us. Jesus paid for the sins of the whole world. He was punished instead of us. If you would rather pay for your own sins, all you have to do is reject Jesus's payment for your sins. If you don't want to pay for your sins, believe that Jesus paid for them. I, for one, don't want to go to hell; I would rather go to heaven, especially since it cost Jesus His life to give it to me. How rude of me not to want such an amazing gift!

The one element that always seems to get in the way is that we're all human. We all make mistakes, we all sin and it takes some a little longer than others to get it.

Becoming born again can have immediate life changing effects for some people. Others have to work a little harder.

But God forgives all sin if we have a repentant heart.

If you be born again, it means that you've risen to heaven. In heaven, you're not supposed to be sinful. God will excuse you for badmouthing, but then you have to be sorry for what you did. Do a confession.

Ok first of all, please don't group all "born again" believers into the same category. There may be some born again Christians on here who don't represent all of us by talking bad about people. Also, the Bible says that no man can enter the Kingdom of Heaven unless he is born again, it's not man made doctrine, it's Biblical. We might disagree on theological aspects of our faith, but we do belive in the same God, and the same Savior.

I understand your question. There seem's to be a lot of so called "born again" Christians that think they have carte blanche by saying they've been saved.

My belief is that being born again means being baptized in the name of Jesus Christ. John 3 -

1 There was a man of the Pharisees, named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews:
2 The same came to Jesus by night, and said unto him, Rabbi, we know that thou art a teacher come from God: for no man can do these miracles that thou doest, except God be with him.
3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.
4 Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter the second time into his mother’s womb, and be born? (Rhetorical question.)
5 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.

Being born of the water and of the spirit means to be baptized and confirmed. Catholics do this at birth. Mormons do it when their children are 8 years old. There is not concensus about when it should be done, but it is clear that these scriptures refer to baptism.

Once a person has been baptized, they can repent for their sins and those sins can be forgiven because of the atonement of Christ. Baptism is not an automatic gate pass, it gives the person who has been baptized the opportunity and requirement of repentance.

I am not bad mouthing anyone. I am saved and I know I can go out and do whatever I want and still be saved. I don't want to. My heart is changed and it shows in my entire life. God does get impatient and will bite you hard, thus the stories of the Bible. After what 500 years, he wiped out whole populations because they continued to poopoo him... His mercy towards you is equal to his wrath towards you. You can't keep kicking a dog without it biting you back at some point. The longer the abuse, the harder the bite. Simple. Why is that such a hard concept to understand?

I think that God has many names and many faces. I don't believe it is appropriate for any of us to badmouth any religion. Yet, we are forgiven regardless.
Peace
