My pup ran off yesterday and he seemed good and gone, no trace or sign, despite much searching and advertisement. Today, a neighbor casually said, "I have your dog." This evening I learned that every family member who knew of my pup's disappearance had vowed to pray for his safe return. People who got the little makeshift poster I made also said they were praying for his return. This evening he is home. Was it prayer (God intervening), coincidence (random pingpong dog movements), chaos (some hidden mathematical symmetry), karma (for always being kind to dogs), whatever? I am glad to have my pup back, whether it be one or all of these guiding agents. What ideas do you have?

Actually, bessiedarlin, I did not pray. I made signs, called radio stations, posted him on websites and ran around calling his name and waiting for him to return. MANY times, I hallucinated him running through the weeds toward me. My husband and his family are pessimists and kept pounding the "he's dead" message into my brain and I fought back by seeing him coming home over and over; I can't call that prayer, but it was a willful state of directed energy to bring him home safe. And queenie, you're right. The sign helped!

I would say, prayer is directed intent. Ergo: magic. OR: angels! (I'm very big on angels, hehe!)
And I'm so glad you got the dog back!

I found a starving German Shepard once. He was hanging out at Burger King and eating scraps dropped by some folks. He was still very thin and malnourished...french fries just don't give much nourishment!
Thankfully,he had a collar on, but the phone number and address were incorrect. I made about a dozen phone calls and finally located his owner! He had been missing for six months!
When the owner came, the reunion was filled with laughter and tears!! Wow...what a day.
The owner asked me if I wanted a reward and I said, "The biggest reward you can give me and your dog, is to update his collar and make sure this never happens again!"
This giant German Sherpard, half starving, was as sweet as an angel. .We need to treat our pets like children because they are, just that.
I'm glad the circumstances surrounding you lost puppy worked out. Quite often, they are squashed on the road.

It was neither prayer nor coincidence.
If the dog gets kidnapped intentionally then chance of return is remote. However it seems that it lost its way but dogs have an acute sense of smell and have intuitive ways of finding path.
Your dog probably tried its best to get back and I know many instances where the dogs have returned back even when left intentionally 20-30 km away.

i think of i'd prefer to examine extra into the strains and the different strains you may evaluate. i'm no longer able to assert what i'd do devoid of understanding your dogs and the different dogs in question, as I purely have this concepts, yet i think of i'd bypass alongside with Jen's suggestion right here. i will understand the place the breeder is coming from in suggesting you rehome the dogs, if the breeder has come to correctly known and understand you and trusts your judgement. i'm useful that the breeder (i'm hoping besides) will placed somebody they experience staggering for this dogs on your course. it may no longer be possibloe for any variety of rationalization for a breeder continuously to take back each and every dogs they have bred, yet they could help to rehome any dogs they have ever bred, regardless. I fairly have solid relationships with my puppy shoppers and if dogs forbid I had had to take back an grownup Border Collie, there have been circumstances whilst this would have not been the ultimate for the dogs (or my very own dogs) yet i'd wish that i could artwork with new vendors to realize the best domicile. i'd of course take a dogs back in there advance into no different ultimate way of saving it. Mireya, you're speaking our of your backside right here and don't have a clue what you assert. instruct any of the exterior greeders right here on Y!A who would even supply a Sh*t approximately this dogs!!! I am so happy your puppy has returned to you. Your positive thoughts and images helped your puppy stay on course to you.
They think and sense in images. They also have a strong sense of smell so it kept on sniffing for it's own markings.
That is why when I take my dog for walks I make sure I start with my house and then to more remote locations (changing everyday). Of course I have to drive there but it is well worth the time since it will help them find their way if they ever get lost.
Thanks for your question

If you have children you will understand the way GOD works. If one of our sons looses a Hot Wheel car it is a big deal to him. It then becomes a big deal to us. We will frantically search for the car like the end of the world will come if we don't find it. Not because we have any interest in the car but because it means a lot to our son/s. If your puppy means a lot to you then I am sure it means a lot to GOD also.
I am glad you have been reunited.
May the Lord continue to richly bless you.

It was answered prayer to make you happy and to make you think. God has answered many of my prayers, especially after I received the Baptism of the Holy Ghost with the evidence of speaking in other tongues.

You made a sign. Someone saw the sign and was able to return your dog to you. Praying didn't help return the dog, but it probably made you feel better.
