Yup, tomorrow for me too. I'm excited, but the fast looks long. Plus, I'm starting off sick. Still, there's something special about this time of year.
Ramadan Mubarik, x2 on the blessings insha'Allah

Asalamu aleykum and Ramadan mubarak
Here in Jeddah it started Wednesday at sunset, so we're in the middle of our first day of fasting. Alhamdulillah, it's the weekend here (Thursday and Friday.)
Probably a million people will make umrah today and tomorrow. Those of us who are left in Jeddah will pray tarawih and then go shopping and visiting, insha'Allah.
Most of us in Saudi have shortened working hours during Ramadan. My usual schedule is 8 to 4, but for Ramadan, it's 10 to 3. The schools have three weeks' work, and then two weeks vacation, for the last ten days of Ramadan and the Eid, insha'Allah.
May Allah bless Ramadan for all of the Muslims, and make it easy for us, and accept it from us.

In europe and middle east, 1st Ramadan is observed on Thursday September 13th, whereas in subcontinent, it is occuring on Friday September 14th. In either areas, the month of Sha'ban had 30 days since moon could not be sighted after 29th Sha'ban.
