I hear that in New York no one talks to each other on the subway, and that in this way the city with the most people can be the loneliest place. I find myself in a bus pretty often, writhing in in silence for half an hour to an hour or so. Everyone else just looks at their hands or out the window so it's pretty difficult to even establish any eye contact. Do everyone alienate themselves on purpose? Time passes slowly on a bus, and it'd be nice if I could make good human use of that time to connect with someone, if only for that moment.

K so it was time for lunch and the class was about to go to the luchroom whille I still had to get my money out of my backback. I got my money but my wallet fell out of the backpack and fell on the bottom of the locker floor but the class had already left so i just left it there and ran after them ( thought i just put it back after.

( Our lockers dont have any locks on them and are basically just cabnet spaces with a gliding door. And we have a locker buddy )

And when we got back from lunch I totally forgot about my wallet and didnt realize it untill the next day and guess what.... It wasnt there along with my $50 .

I know it was my locker buddy ( i hate him, teacher paired us together ) he is very poor and nobody likes him he is EXREMELY WEIRD . And never talks to anyone and always looks at everyone like hes gona kill you lol .

What should I do ?

I have been a Catholic/Christian for 53 years and in the last month or so I am losing my faith and trust in people, I feel life is letting me down, and when I ask God for help I am not getting a reply

Even on this site I asked questions and no one answers, much, I feel I am not wanted or loved by a lot of my friends on this site, as they have turned against me for something that happened a month ago, which was not my doing, but I got the blame for it.

How do I get faith and trust back, it is tearing me apart?

Any advice please?

According to"popular belief", the end of this time as we know it was 2012, and as I have felt and "heard" this "time" is nearer now because of the "work" that all have done to bring this world more in line with Gods love.
What are your feelings?
And what does this mean for you?
What if anything is to be done?
What is needed?

I'm starting to believe that any mental health problems encountered can be healed through hard work and the healing power of God. I wanted some opinions on this.

This is the definition of the second law straight out of my Thermodynamics textbook. "In any spontaneous process (a spontaneous process is a chemical reaction that occurs naturally without external influence), the total (total means average) entropy of a system and it's surroundings always increases." Evolution is not a spontaneous process because the Earth constantly recieves energy from the sun, which is an external influence. If you pay close attention to detail, you will realize it says total entropy of a system. It does not say that the entropy of each individual piece of matter increases. The book specifically states that "non-spontaneous reactions (which is what evolution is) always result in a decrease in entropy (meaning that an increase in the order of a system can and does happen in nature)." In other words, nothing about evolution breaks the second law.

A couple years back I had a pastor who was amazing, we grew so close to him and I've missed him so much. He was a great pastor, and he always hung out with us, and always was a positive influence on us. Yet after a year he left because of issues with our adult pastor. After that we had a couple more pastors that left after a couple of months. Just recently we got a girl pastor, and she's great to. I've become commited to this church, and I feel I have some sort of motivation now. I've been going to this youth group for 9 years, and a couple of days ago I visited my old pastors church. Once I went there everything felt so good, it felt just like the old days. I'm starting to feel undecided now on which church I should go to. I'm commited to my current church of 9 years, but I feel like going to my old pastor's church. I don't know what to do.

to a Hispanic, they answer you in English? At the same time, if I spoke in English, they then tell me 'oh, I don't speak English'. Can someone tell me why this is? It is quite irritating.

i kinda keep these things to myself but im just kinda in a tight spot about tithing and dont know what to do. i want to tithe my 10 percent. but i just cant afford it. i recently moved out on my own into the city. the cost of living is high...rent, food, transportation and what not. i barely get by now. in fact im usually broke a couple or a few days before payday. sometimes i literally go hungry and have to survive on really basic means. like this week im broke until thursday. i cant do my laundry and i dont know what im going to eat. that 10 percent would help out. but i guess it would also be hard to tithe if one made a lot of money because its a lot of money. i dont know what to do. i dont feel like im throwing my money away, or am I. if i told my friends that I tithe, they would think im crazy and stupid. doesnt the Bible say that one should tithe, even in the old testament, Jesus says it about offerings. What Im asking is, does your income matter when it comes to tithing.

Apparently, Al Quaida was behind two suicide bombers who killed 57 people. So there was a massive demonstration by Muslims protesting the violence. Now let me get this straight - Muslims in Algeria risked more violence - possibly death - to protest Islamic violence in a place where Al Quaida is out in force, but American Muslims - living in a relatively safe place that hasn't had an Al Quaida attack since 2001 - sit around on sites like this one whining about how they hate violence but no one wants to listen. What's wrong with this picture, folks?
