Because he was appointed an apostle by Jesus Christ.
"Paul, an apostle—sent not from men nor by man, but by Jesus Christ and God the Father, who raised him from the dead..."
Galatians 1:1
His appointment as such was recognized specifically by Peter (II Peter 3:14-16)
and also by the elders and apostles in Jerusalem (see Acts chapter 15)

An apostle was the leader in the Greek navy, and so the Christians used it to show who were the "admirals" of the church, so to speak. Peter and Paul were the most prominent early Christians in terms of their outreach.
Why wouldn't he be considered an apostle? If Jesus appeared to you and said you were to carry his name to another place, don't you think you would feel a bit Chosen too?

He is the Apostle to the gentiles. He was given the status of Apostle by Peter himself i believe. because of the powerful way that he converted to Christ.

Because he saw the light on the road to damascus. No that's no good, the israeli army probably has seen that too.
Who cares, they make saints out of all kinds of people, why not have a couple extra apostles too?

While he was still a non-believer persecuting Christians for Rome, he had a vision where Jesus spoke to him and told him to go and to be an apostle to the gentiles. This was quite a while after Jesus's crucifixion and resurrection.

Paul considered his experience on the road to Damascus to have been a resurrection appearance, so he felt he was as qualified as Jesus' other disciples to be an authoritative teacher.

Why wouldn't he be. He was selected by Jesus himself as an "apostle to the nations." He just wasn't one of the initial 12.

Because Jesus appeared before him on the road to Jerico and changed his life from an enemy of God to a Brother and fellow king, priest and prophet of God. And God is doing the same to anyone who has faith in Christ, in this day and hour.

According to Roman records(which are extremely accurate)Paul was a scam artist who was executed for dishonest real estate dealings after he accumulated great wealth. What you should be asking is "why doesn't the Booger man bible mention anything that in their fairy tales"?
