It costs over £1200 (for a liftetime's use). For that you get 4 two-hour training sessions and a review after three months. For the sake of argument, let's say the review is worth two hours. That's ten hours, or roughly £120 per hour.......paid by each person in the group.

How can that be justified? If there were six in the group (as in the example sent to me), that's £720 per hour.

Judaism teaches that Hashem is continually creating all things and circumstances. I should have nothing to worry about. Hah! How can I increase my ability to trust Him that things will work out, especially when they are not going the way I want them to?

I live in the U.S. and most people just use their first and family names. I prefer to use my first, middle, and family names (ex. Martin Luther King, Alexander Graham Bell, John Quincy Adams, Kareem Abdul Jabar, Sarah Michelle Gellar). I do this because my name is too short, it sounds better that way, and it's how things are done in my country of origin. Whenever people address me on envelopes or introduce me, they only use my first and family names. I HATE that, but I don't want to make a fuss about it. How do I get them to use my full name in a subtle manner? Should I trick people into thinking that my last name is 2 words?

10 points for the best solution!!!

I used to live & work in foreign climes, and picked up the local
language, customs, etc. As one should.
My mum says "your dentist is a black man", or "is your optician foreign".
It is silly, and I have said so,
Where does this race thing come from ?
It is beyond me.

Im a African Amercan young lady who is 23 and I looove my heritage and my roots, I love being black, both physically as well as mentally. When I ask am I too black, i mean in a mental sense. Every book I read is by a black author, almost everything I do I somehow find a way to make it refelct my blackness, I love wearing my hair natural and curly...when someone ask me why my hair is in a big afro, I proudly say "because im black!" im not ashamed of my brown skin or my thick, curly hair..its like the world loves the black trends and the glitz and glam and the whole hip-hop culture, basically they want to live "black" but when it really comes down to it, they reject their blackness on a mental note. Such as making rude and stereo typical comments amongst their own black community; not dating in their own race and so fourth. My point is that, my whole world revolves around my mental awareness on the fact that im black and proud. Am I too engulfed in my blackness?

I lost mine in high school art class when we were doing paper mache, must have slipped off my finger. I took it as a sign from God.

Some historians of secular academia have suggested he was. (didn't believe in the trinity or divinity of Christ). But what real proof is there of this. Show me some if you know of any.
Newton: "Christ is called the righteous (1 Iohn 2.1 ) & by his righteousness we are saved (Rom. 3.25. & 5.18 1 Cor. 1.30) & except our righteousness exceed the righteousness of the Scribes and Pharisees we shall not enter into the kingdome of heaven. (Mat. 5.20.) Righteousness is the religion of the kingdom of heaven (2 Pet. 3. 13 Isa 60 21) & even the property of God himself" Newton says plainly, "Christ is called righteous, which is a property of God,
we obtain that righteousness through faith in Christ. "by his (Christ) righteousness we are saved". This is a direct indication of his belief in Jesus Christ being the same as God!

I am posting this in hope that some people will think about what they are doing.....

I am not a Christian , but am aware that Christians believe that people will know a good Christian by their fruits

personally , I have the utmost respect for Christians who speak gently to people , not trying to persuade them or convert them ... not threatning them
it is these people who show the love that Christianity holds
and it is these people without even trying, that may draw others to Christianity
they walk the walk ... and speak in whispers when they talk the talk

then we have the burn in hell types
and as an outsider to Christianity , I can tell you that your preaching and your threats seriously turn me away
I dont want to listen when you yell..... people get headaches that way
and when you shout ... you loose your voice , you dont get heard

now as I said , this is my personal opinion
but I am hoping to hear others views on this

I am not trying to pick on mormons but I am doing some reading about them and things confuse me. Do you believe we have to accept Joseph Smith to enter Heaven? Or is accepting Christ enough?

"No man or woman in this dispensation will ever enter into the celestial kingdom of God without the consent of Joseph Smith...every man and woman must have the certificate of Joseph Smith, junior, as a passport to their entrance into the mansion where God and Christ are... [Joseph Smith] reigns there as supreme a being in his sphere, capacity, and calling, as God does in heaven. Many will exclaim—"Oh, that is very disagreeable! It is preposterous! We cannot bear the thought!" But it is true."
- The Prophet Brigham Young, Journal of Discourses, vol. 7, p.289-91

I am a pentecostal Christian and do not desire to be a mormon. Just trying to understand what they believe.

This is a small experiment that I have been doing for the past month (8/1/07 - 9/1/07) on Yahoo! Answers.

I have reported a total of 100 questions that were against Yahoo! standards/guidelines. All questions were obviously against the guidelines, by using either hate speech, or simply making fun and mocking the subject group.
Of those 100:
25 were pro-gay(PG), 25 were anti-gay(AG), 25 were pro Christianity(PC), 25 were anti Christianity(AC).

I kept track of how long it took Yahoo! to respond to these reported abusues. Of the 25 Pro Gay, only 5 were even responded to and removed (4 day avg). Of the 25 Anti Gay, ALL 25 were removed (1 day avg). Of the 25 Pro Chris. , 15 were removed (2 day avg), and of the AC only 1 was removed (4 days).

Do you believe that Yahoo! is fair with its treatment to all people (liberal, conservative, Christian, atheist, etc? Or are you like me, and see the facts, that Yahoo! has become liberal and anti Christian?

What do you guys think?

For example the Abrahamic scriptures say that the world was created in 7 days, but we now know it took billions or years and the followers say it is just a metaphore to illustrate that a supernatural being created the earth.
How do they know that statements such as that are metaphors and not just lies written by men to control other men?

Would you complain to a mamanger if a cashier didn't smile at you?

I'm a christian. At least as far as what I believe goes. Now, living by the bible is a different story. I'm trying really hard to stop sinning, because in the way I am, it's very, very wrong. My problem is, I'm female...and I'm attracted to other females. I often fantasize about them, and I've dated a couple. I've been doing my best to push and thoughts to the back of my mind, trying to keep them away. I want to be completely straight. It seems like it's been getting better, but it still doesn't help that I'm turned on whenever I see a girl I think is gorgeous. Help! I don't want these thoughts in my head anymore...
