I'm a christian. At least as far as what I believe goes. Now, living by the bible is a different story. I'm trying really hard to stop sinning, because in the way I am, it's very, very wrong. My problem is, I'm female...and I'm attracted to other females. I often fantasize about them, and I've dated a couple. I've been doing my best to push and thoughts to the back of my mind, trying to keep them away. I want to be completely straight. It seems like it's been getting better, but it still doesn't help that I'm turned on whenever I see a girl I think is gorgeous. Help! I don't want these thoughts in my head anymore...

Either/or INUYASHA. It's in the bible saying that it's wrong, so it could be in this category or that. Thanks for the advice-- didn't help. I should return the favor sometime.

You can conquer this with the help of the Holy Spirit. Go to this Christian Website and take the course on Sexual Purity. The will teach you how to use God's strength to defeat it.

Prayer, and lots of it. Ask God to show you your sin. I know that you expressed that you know it "is" a sin but the thing is it is still attractive to you. God understands this and He will help you. When I lived in sin I saw my sin as attractive and fun, something to be desired. God will open your eyes if you ask Him and you will be able to see the vileness of whatever sin you may be in bondage to. Read the Word of God . It is very powerful. Every morning when you wake up ask the Lord to fill you with His Holy Spirit and to lead you by it throughout your day. The Bible says to renew your mind DAILY. This is not a one time deal that lasts forever you need to do it daily. Until the Lord brings you to complete deliverance from this bondage, the thing you have to do is commit yourself to Christ and obey Him in spite of you inclinations. He will deliver you. Just keep on seeking Him. Also remember to resist the Devil and He will flee from you. That also means avoiding movies T.V. and music that glorify homosexuality. Protect your mind carefully.May all your thoughts be taken captive of the Holy Spirit. Amen. God bless you!!

1 Corinthians 6:20 For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your Spirit, which are Gods.

2 Corinthians 10: 4 For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ, and being ready to punish all disobedience when your obedience is fulfilled.

Why do you have to quit liking females? If you're attracted to females then pursue female relationships. There's nothing inherently incorrect or wrong about a relationship with a member of the same sex. Your religion should be accepting of who you want to be. If they refuse to do that, then maybe it is time to look into aligning yourself with people that can and will respect the person that you are and the choices you choose to make. Intolerance is not an acceptable virtue.

You need to fellowship with Christians, that is real Christians who you can tell your situation to and they will support you and mentor you.
You need to find a good church. Best wishes.

Spend some time forming a better relationship with Jesus.

I suggest you start with Don Miller and Rob Bell. They've got some interesting perspectives on spirituality without the baggage of religion attached.

Homosexuality is not condemned in the Bible -- *sodomy* is condemned in the Bible. A man "spilling his seed" is condemned in the Bible.

I suggest you move on to another denomination that's more accepting of lesbians.

I will say a prayer for you now and I ask God to help you resist temptation to act on your feelings since that's the key whether you are talking about homosexual or heterosexual behavior!

Read books to transfer your mind. Sit down to face of you mind coming up, look at it but do not follow. Let it in and let it go, don't follow. It will soon come less and less later, then it gone.

There's nothing wrong with you, and if people could choose who they love/are attracted to, no one would ever have a broken heart.

Find a church that will accept you the way you are.
