I think it's because it reminds me of when I would sit in the living room by the tree for hours looking at a JC Penney Christmas catalogue looking at all the toys and wondering which one I wanted the most. And the fact that it gives me a reason to enjoy hot chocolate in the middle of July if I think of it! :)

I've been giving this issue some thought lately myself. Sometimes I think that I get excited about Christmas because I think my family will be together and happy. But then the holiday comes and we're still not getting along, I have to figure out if we spend Christmas day with my parents or his, how much do I spend on everyone and before I know it, I'm stressed to the max and not enjoying any of it. I always set my hopes up so high that when things don't go that way, I have a long fall back to reality. I think this year, I'm going to try and keep things real. Don't get the hopes high. That way I won't be disappointed.

It reminds you of Christmas when you were young and didn't have a care in the world. Christmas is so nostalgic.
