He hasn't been crowned King. If he were to become King, he would be Henry IX.

Because there have been 8 King Henry's & he is only a Prince. If he ever becomes King he will get the number after his name.

If Prince Henry inherits the throne he would be Henry the Ninth.
The designation 'the Second', 'Eighth', etc, simply means 'the second king of this country named Henry'.
He can't be Henry the 'Ninth' king, unless he becomes king, which is unlikely as his brother is young, healthy, will probably marry and is likely to have heirs.
Cheers :-)

You only get a number if you're King or reigning Prince, if Harry became King (which is extremely unlikely) and decided to reign as King Henry he would be Henry IX. When Prince Charles ascends if he rules using his first name he will be Charles III, however, he has indicated he'd rather use his last name (George) as his regnant name so he'll be George VII.

He can't be Henry 9th until he is crowned king and since William is older and healthy it would seem that William is destined to be our monarch and Harry is going to remain the spare.

If he ever becomes king, he'll be Henry the ninth. The chances are, he'll be in reserve and the throne will pass to William's offspring.

As previous answers have stated, you have to actually be crowned to get the number.
But in addition, it's worth remembering that even if he did somehow succeed to the throne, he may not choose to take the name King Henry. Plenty of his ancestors have taken the throne in another name from the one they were known by before being crowned. There's always been a lot of speculation that Charles will not choose to be Charles III, given the bad history associated with that name (Charles I was executed, Charles II was overthrown).

Because he's not King yet. IF the monarchy survives his father and IF William either abdicates or dies and IF Harry then ascended the Throne, then sure, he would become King Henry VIX
