Does anyone else think it's reallt rude that when you go to all the trouble of answering a question honestly, trying to give people a bit of help, some nasty pasty always seems to give you a thumb down?

Why are there so many moody bums out there??? Cheer up!

Islam is a great religion. It respects other religions and glorifies Prophets Jesus and Moses. It has a unified view of the world in that all Prophets are brothers. It has brought great knowledge and wisdom to this world through the teachings of the Quran and the teachings of Prophet Muhammad. The Quran surely calls for fighting the infidels but this because these infidels are the cause of so many problems in the earth that is only fair to get rid of them and stop their evil.

The Muslims are a great nation that respect women. Respecting women is not simply of the presence or absence of a piece of cloth on the hair, the respect for women is ingrained in the laws of inhertiance and other laws regulating social lif, in addition to judicial rights.

If I am to choose between marrying four women and granting them all the rights under Islamic law or having many "one-night stands" and living in sexual promiscuisity, I would choose the former.

Islam and Muslims are a great nation and people.

Just wondering, because surely if God / Allah / Your "God" knew the continents would seperate, he would also know that humans have an innate ability to create. In this case, wouldn't an omnipresent God realize that we would build airplanes and boats? And in that case, wouldn't he have created the universe to withstand it?

Please don't parrot or refer me to an proverbs or books - I have no religious books and am not going to buy any (this includes putting a link to a webpage)

Can I just say 'city'? I'm about to go into my German oral exam and I want to say "Lincoln is one of the smallest cities in Britain". I can't say 'Stadte' since it isn't one of the smallest towns and I can't say 'Grossstadte' because then I'd be saying "Lincoln is one of the smallest big towns" which is absurd!
But would I get away with saying 'cities' in my oral? : S

Please list your concerns so that creationists and christian fundies may see the error of their ways, or not..
Thanks.

Fundies, save us the fictional and self serving spiel about America being founded on christianity, [it simply wasn't, it was tollerated], and blatantly insults ALL other denominations anyway.

And I chuckle, and say: "Far from it."

And he spent the the rest of the evening quiet. I know this is an immature scenario, but even after getting home, it lingers in my mind.... why do we let stuff like this bother us? I feel like a fuc#$ing 13 year old for pondering this ...

But is our self-perception formed by the opinions of others?
If so, I absolutely refuse it.

If someone were to come along with OVERWHELMING scientific evidence that contradicted your beliefs? What if someone could offer the most overwhelming HARD scientific argument ever produced, that could...

1) show how life originated on this planet
2) show that all life as we know it (the DNA world) was "created" by a biochemical process that is ongoing today
3) provide a means by which speciation (macroevolution) occurs (something that no current theory can do)
4) explain why we have two sexes (something current science cannot explain)
5) provide a mechanism for the aging process (i.e. explain why we age and die)
6) explain what happens to us (in a biological sense) when we die
7) provide a Designer, which created all (DNA) life on this planet, to which we return (biochemically) when we die
8) show (under a microscope) how this process is happening all the time, right under our noses... life being created...

Would you still be too closed-minded to alter your views?
