I know that they dont like some of the doctrine, but the bible came from Catholics.

If you look at history there were never any protestants untill Luther, he himself didnt want to leave the church he just wanted to get rid of corruption (and there was some) but then people fragmented and made up their own ideology based on what they wanted to believe.

I'm 13 and I would like to get a purity ring. I've talked about it with my mom and she said yes. I'd like a bit more information about purity rings.

Would it be appropriate to engrave "Hold On" on a purity ring? It's a song by the Jonas Brothers. and also the Jonas Brothers wear purity rings.

Teenage birth rate per 1,000 births:

France -- 9
United States -- 49

Note also France mandates a progressive nation wide sex ed and contraception program and the US's highest teen pregnancy rates are found in the Bible Belt where many schools dictate abstinence-only sex ed or no sex ed at all.

It seems obvious to me, but I ask R&S: why do you think that the US's teen pregnancy rate is 7 times higher than France's?

Also, is abstinence only sex ed or denying teenagers sex ed child abuse?

I am doing research for my daughter for a project she is working on. What we want to know is what the traditional Native American beliefs are on suicide and the results to the individual commiting the suicide in the afterlife. Each time we researched this topic we could only get prevention topics. That is a great thing that so many are out there for prevention but for our research it is just halting our obtaining the information needed for our project on Native American spiritual beliefs on death and the afterlife.

I recently attended a church service for the first time, and couldn't help but notice the loud proclamations from the pastor and others during and after songs. They said things like "Praise God," "Praise Jesus," "God is Awesome" in loud voices for all to hear. I in no way oppose any of these messages, but as far as I know, this whole "song and dance" known as "Praise and Worship" by regular church goers seems to conflict with Matthew 6:1-7. They may mean well in their hearts, but it seems that these public displays in church, (aka these phrases constantly uttered, tithing plate, etc) are to be kept secret, as far as I understand, not to be seen by people. Can anyone show me scripture that states that God wants people to pray/worship collectively? By commanding people to worship, it doesn't necessarily mean "together" because then all can see eachother's pious acts. Also consider John 4:23-24. Thanks in advance!

Is it not time that the British State adopt something similar to the Rights of Man that was drawn up in revolutionary France (over 200 years ago!) and become a republic?

We do not need a monarchy. The money that Diana raised for charity is only a fraction of the money that she received, so undeservedly, from tax that could have gone to the NHS or directly to charities. We do not need them for tourism: it's not like tourists don't go to France, Italy, Germany etc. is it?

The British royal family are an incredibly outdated symbol of a long dead Britain, supported only by sentimental traditionalists and equally outdated celebrities who crave a Knighthood.

Religion tries to answer the mystery of life with introducing external figure like, God, Jesus, and Alha. We all seek to know who we are and what our purpose is? Can these beings answer our question?

My believe is that if we seek to understand our self we must look within. Through insight meditation and deep contemplation. The mystery of life is within us all we have to do is look.

Or is it just a MYTH - how come there is no evidence not even a single picture or so in the world depicting someone eating someone's lets say hand or leg or so.

Of course we have heard in 1972 a rugby team after a plain crashed survived by eating the deceased. But thats as far as it goes on reported cases.

It doesn't matter what you believe the fact is. I didn't ask to be here. I've grown tired of living and there is no one left that truly cares. Only people with some type of liberal outlook that dictates their reaction to say please don't do it some of us do care. All I do is wake up with less and less everyday going to a job I don't like hanging out with friends I don't like and coming back to my house alone to leave screwed up questions on here. So why not just end my life?
