I don't know if this is just a movie thing or whatever but in the movie "Stardust" the witch and the psychic carried only 4 runes with them instead of the entire set. Does anybody out there remember what those runes where?

The images of Septimus show the runes briefly.

The second site is a fan site - might have a forum which could help?

Likely, the runes were made up or modified for the movie... neat, wasn't it?

I use rune stones a lot, but I never saw the movie you refer to.

I've been searching through my mind trying to figure out how a person might do it with only four stones. Four stones would be eight sides a person could work with, which is still not a lot

Ralph Blum Wrote the book "Viking Runes" which came with a red velvet cloth bag and I believe, 24 runes. I had a set .... very cool. Yes, they do tell a story when invoked.
