I have posted a couple of other questions that lead me up to this final one, and I've got to say-I'm SO surprised that many religious centered individuals regard world peace, or some common ground, to be a catastrophe that will bring upon the Anti Christ.

So....what exactly does world peace mean to you?

I have noticed several times that if a person asks an emotional question on sensitive issues like race, abortion, etiquette etc.. if the person who asks this question is a good-looking & good-natured woman who means no harm, then people are ready to go ballistic and rude on her because they don't agree with her point of view.

HOWEVER, if the questioner is like the tough & no-bull type of guy, then the responses all seem to be in line & no one dares to raise their emotion towards the person.

Why does this happen on public boards like Y!A? Why do people like to let out their rage on innocent people & their answers normally get more thumbs-ups than thumbs-downs?

Becuase they are all ridiculous, that's why.

1. Love god - Okay, simple enough
2. sell everything? huh? so I have to be a naked bum to get into heaven? (luke 18: 18-22)
3. hate your mother and father? what? according to the 10 commandments I have to honor them? (luke 14: 26-33)
4. eat flesh and drink blood - isn't that kind of gruesome? even if this is metorphical, isn't it kind of satanic? (john 6: 53-54)
5. become like little children - okay.....? (matthew 18: 2-3)
6. be born again? what? how can I be born again? jesus says the wing blows where it pleases but jesus is dead wrong here, we know where the wind comes from and where it's going, its called meteorology (John 3:3-8)
7. I have to surprass the pharisees and teachers of law in righteousness. That means I have to follow 613ridiculous rules? huh????? 100 of those are for animal sacrifice (matthew 5:17-20)
8. believe that jesus died for our sins

Sims like this is all bullocks, "enlighten" me, believers.

Looking for informative input based on reason. It is accepted that God is all powerful and all knowing by the Christian faith, and by many other religions. The Christian Bible says that God knew the end at the beginning. If God knew humans would sin even before their creation, then why create them? How could ANYTHING evil be born of a being who is perfect? According to the Bible Angels rebelled against God, but were also created BY God, therefore had free will obviously. He then cast them into a Hell He created for punishment/banishment. It also seems He changed His mind about the methods for Salvation also. In old testament times sacrifices were required, etc.. But then after wiping out the Earth, killing almost every human whom He knew from the start would sin and be killed by Him, chose to later on give us Salvation through Jesus. God isn't a liar, and IS perfect. So why all the changing of the methods? Is there ANY evidence outside the Bible that God exists? Thanks for your time.

I just graduated from high school and attending a college right now. Ever since I've became a Christian, I have always had a conviction and desires to go into a full time ministry. My dream is to minister in North Korea and Japan, as well as in the States. I am fully aware that being called to become a pastor is a prestigious road with demand to be selfless to lead the congregation. And yes, I had my doubts, and often, I feel very unqualified to answer His great call. But I also know that His grace sustains every single souls, and I firmly believe that there is a reason and purpose that God has planted in me a desire to be a pastor.

Throughout my life, my family have been struggling financially, and I just found out that my parents won't be able to afford to pay my tuitions. Hence, I am standing on the split road of choices- Go to the army, or get an enormous student loan.

Army sounds good, but because of its long years, I fear that it might hinder me in my calling.Please Pray!
