I have occasionally replied with sarcasm when it would not be appreciated, or without considering the effect a posted statement might have for already sensitized-and-hurting readers, without the mediating effect of voice or body language; mostly, I try and express my compassion fairly directly, if sometimes with humor, or offering a perspective challenging response out of sincere concern and sympathy.
Other things to think about: Is sarcasm always bad? Is always being agreeable, kind? Are we the keepers of our brothers' feelings, too? I don't think all people post here just to hear themselves speak; if they don't want other opinions, a diary would be better.

Well sometimes I'm in a goofy mood and try
not to hurt people's feelings, but I give a
real outlandish or stupid answer, but...
I never feel bad about it!
Actually I go back to it and lol afterward.
And it's way cool, 'cause people give me
thumbs up for 'em... hahahahahaha Oh god
hahahahahahahahahahaha great!

you should be arguing with a guy or woman greater smart than i'm getting into confrontations with. they many times are not waiting to place at the same time an e mail of grievance that exceeds 10 words.

I most definately have. It can be so much easier to be spiteful in your answers when you aren't face to face. I've also sent some pretty mean emails on this forum to people who have sent me mean emails. Some guy named ghetto boy emailed me calling me a dumb ****, and I could go **** myself. I told him I didn't know how to * myself and that when he gets out of the ghetto maybe he could go buy himself some letters. That wasn't very nice, and it just pulled me down to his level.

When I give sarcastic answers, I mean them. I usually only say stuff like that to trolls.

I answer questions as I see fit, most generally I answer them with sincere answers, then there's those really dumb questions people ask that just deserve a wise crack but it doesn't bother me. Why should it?
As someone once said ask a dumb question get a dumb answer....
