calling everyone else's god's "man made" and "false"? Then they defend the hypocracy with the word "truth" and go back to crying because the atheist give them a taste of their own medicine?
So to sum it up, SOME Christians can dish it out but they can't take it?

I don't deny the existance of thier God, I just don't follow the religion. It would be nice to get the same respect. I know its a dream in the clouds, but seriously...it is SO damn insulting.

Yep. Hundreds of thousands of "made up" gods, but this one HAS to be real.

So true. Thank you.
I have said "man-made" and "false" on a number of occasions. Those words have indeed found a place in some of my answers. Many Christians say "God-created" and "truth". I am often told I will be tortured eternally for not believing as 'the others' do. They toss the word "truth" around too and call me inferior for being an atheist. NOT all. But some. It's so hypocritical. I doubt any good god (one of tens of thousands) would be so narcissistic as to insist that he be worshiped and believed when he will not show himself. I think this is why Christianity is so popular and has lasted so long - the threat of not believing is so frightening some people cannot face ever questioning it.
Then there are those here who are wonderful and lovely Christians here to have fun and do well by others. They are indeed a testament to the man whose teachings they live by.

Yes, just like I see the hypocrisy in those people who claim the earth is round and then call everyone else's theory about it being a triangle or square false. They defend this hypocrisy with the word "truth" and go back to crying because the flat earth followers give them a taste of their own medicine and say there is no closed solid, the earth is just flat.
I have to agree with you.

no person is saying there's a Leprechaun or a 'guy interior the sky' or any of that. maximum persons are basically saying there's a risk of a source to all this and in time we would locate something like it -- it is going to in all risk no longer be AS defined by way of many human beings, yet i'm prepared to guess $a hundred actual now that interior of 20 - 30 years there will be a bounce forward in physics suggesting we are certainly in touch with something interior the words of God. Plus, if faith grants a 'placebo result' then enable human beings have it by way of fact human beings of religion tend to be somewhat greater healthy in accordance to Time. oftentimes, all you're able to do is call us 'idiots' without evidence (psychological) that there is something incorrect with our brains -- regardless of the shown fact that with some human beings i'm valuable there is. Ha-ha. don't get me incorrect. I strongly dislike extremism. in any different case, we understand the burdon of evidence is on us. a brilliant quantity persons try to coach something it fairly is previous our modern-day information. yet there are theories nonetheless that would lead us to this.

It is interesting to consider the reality that we are ALL ATHEISTS when it comes to rejecting other people's gods. Atheism merely suggests that believers, having successfully rejected all the other false gods, take that final step and reject whatever god to which they still cling.

Of course, I see the hypocrisy there. Which is why I don't do it. I'm a Christian, but understand quite easily that not everybody else in the world is.

Everyone is free to choose who, how, and why they believe what they believe. In the end, we will all find out one way or the other.

To answer your question bluntly, yes. Definitely some hypocracy there, but that hypocracy is part of their religion, so what can you do?

That's the way most people are when it comes to religious beliefs. They can bash other people's beliefs all they want, and it's okay. But if anyone dares to look at THEIR beliefs with a critical eye, they cry persecution.

Eh okay. You know, just because God doesn't exist yet, doesn't mean he never will.
Any sufficiently evolved creature to design anything would have to be the end result of that design. Time is curved. It's possible that God just doesn't exist yet. So I wouldn't criticize too much.
