Just wondering, because surely if God / Allah / Your "God" knew the continents would seperate, he would also know that humans have an innate ability to create. In this case, wouldn't an omnipresent God realize that we would build airplanes and boats? And in that case, wouldn't he have created the universe to withstand it?

Please don't parrot or refer me to an proverbs or books - I have no religious books and am not going to buy any (this includes putting a link to a webpage)

Sorry - just have noticed people going "ah yes, Proverbs 11.2.3.4.5" - read it.

But have wondered why Continental Drift happened, which would lead to INCREASED space, which would lead to inventing machines, which leads to Global Warming.

Also, for those of you who believe that only "your" God is about, I said "your" God, because there are many "God's" out there, and they aren't all called "God".
Please don't think I am being funny, I am merely assuming (as few do) that there are more religions that Christianity... :)

It does though, kind just add to my thoughts. If it can't be regurgitated out a religious book, it has nothing to do with the world. If it can't be proven by quoting a scripture, then it has nothing to do with "anything". Of course it does! Its a planetary anomaly that can be proven by science, but not by religion - and the religious scorn it!

Modern Plate Theory of Earth:

Here we find the general idea of techtonics.

"And We have planted mountains on earth lest it should tilt to one side with them and We left between them open passages so that they may find the right direction. (Quran Sura21 Al-Anbiya V-31)

Not much. Religion is more about saving souls than geology. Yes God knew about continents, humans ability to create, including transportation. Withstand what? continental drift or humans building planes? God created the earth to fulfill his purposes which is to provide a place for his children to learn and grow. Continental drift is really not important.

Jesus said that the continents would drift, hit eachother, form mountains, and this tectonic activity would cause Volcanoes to spew forth fiery ash, and from these Volcanoes would come a great beast, with sixty-seven tails like lions, and the head of a great wild racoonalope.

well i agree with some of the answers that say your request for information about the continental drift from a religious point of view without the use of books is a bit protensiouse but my religion accepts scientific methods and when something is proved I accept the evidence on its merits

These religions have no adequate answer. They have to rely on faith which is belief system not based on the evidence. i.e. its the same as believing fairytales, or that Harry Potter really is a young wizard or something.

Hey man do you want an answer or not?

LOL

Rev 16:20 And every island fled away, and the mountains were not found.

Rev 6:14 And the heaven departed as a scroll when it is rolled together; and every mountain and island were moved out of their places.

The Bible doesn't say anything about continental drift , but why would it need to?

It is a slow natural process of a world that has a molten core and techtonic plates.

I don't see how this has any relevance to the idea of building planes or boats ..

Your question is unfocused and bizzar.

If you get any real bible questions plz feel free to email me.

"Tell me what your God says, but don't cite your religious text."

Very pretentious request, you think?

As far as Christianity is concerned--
This world is not designed to last forever. Eventually Christ is to come back and destroy this world and replace it with a perfect, eternal one.

And humans don't have the ability to 'create'... they merely 'discover.'
