thine enemy be hungry give him bread to eat; and if he be thirsty give him water to drink. That doesn't sound like a vivolent God to me.

Yeah, but you're picking and choosing through the verses of a bi-polar God. You're talking about the same God who sent two she-bears from the woods to kill like 40 children for making fun of the prophet Elijah.
Edit, followup: Here you go, love:
From The Holy Bible, 2 Kings 2:23-24:
"And he went up from thence unto Bethel: and as he was going up by the way, there came forth little children out of the city, and mocked him, and said unto him, Go up, thou bald head; go up, thou bald head. And he turned back, and looked on them, and cursed them in the name of the Lord. And there came forth two she bears out of the wood, and tare forty and two children of them"
Edit Edit: Followup: Nobody is asking you to stop believing in God. I just would like you to consider the following.
Do you think it's possible that God is embarassed by the Bible? That it paints him out to be something he's not? A jealous God who says jealousy is a sin, that kills innocent children for jokes, and has his prophets tell his men to rape little girls? Thomas Jefferson said that "it would do my God an injustice to attach his name to such a work of filth" (paraphrasing) as the bible. God doesn't have to be what the Jews said he was 6000 years ago. We're a brighter people now, and we can understand a much more merciful and loving God.

If the enemy is an enemy that is wielding a weapon, how can you feed him unless he lowers it down?
The minute the enemy lowers down their weapon, theyre not your enemy anymore.
The Quran says the following in gist: if they fight you and oppress you and try to drive you out of your homes, fight them back. If they cease to oppress you, and they cease to drive you out of your homes, remain within boundaries and do not oppress them.
This is related to how we should behave towards those who fight us.
As for those who do not fight us but maintain civility, we are told to treat them with the same respect as we would treat our own kind.
These are the Gods orders.
And God does not do injustice to anyone.

The bible also says that if your son is disobedient you should chuck rocks at him until he's dead. This isn't your enemy. This is your own child.
In case you also think that I am lying, like you thought the other person was, here you go http://www.thebricktestament.com/the_law/when_to_stone_your_children/dt21_18a.html

Dear Sister,
You are quite right, consider this scripture:
Luke 6:Love for Enemies
27"But I tell you who hear me: Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, 28bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you. 29If someone strikes you on one cheek, turn to him the other also. If someone takes your cloak, do not stop him from taking your tunic. 30Give to everyone who asks you, and if anyone takes what belongs to you, do not demand it back. 31Do to others as you would have them do to you.
32"If you love those who love you, what credit is that to you? Even 'sinners' love those who love them. 33And if you do good to those who are good to you, what credit is that to you? Even 'sinners' do that. 34And if you lend to those from whom you expect repayment, what credit is that to you? Even 'sinners' lend to 'sinners,' expecting to be repaid in full. 35But love your enemies, do good to them, and lend to them without expecting to get anything back. Then your reward will be great, and you will be sons of the Most High, because he is kind to the ungrateful and wicked. 36Be merciful, just as your Father is merciful.
God Bless

Commenting...the Bible was written by people, the Quran was written by God (Allah). So you CAN'T compare the two.

the bible is full of violence in the name of a mean god of wrath and jealousy; picking and choosing is for guitar players not comparative religion . Both are flawed in my opinion.
