In a fairy tale, I guess they could get around on a magic carpet or any other made up way. In real life, they would drive a car. I don't expect you'll see the Queen driving, though. More likely she'll be riding in car, or carriage.

Queen Elizabeth II is driven in a Bentley limo, and she reportedly turned down the offer of a Jag because her corgis didn't like it.

certainly not a Mercedes, in fairyland it is a golden coach

not so much fairyland, Britain's royalty has such a coach which is used in State affairs, usually drawn by 8 horses
