Everywhere around me good people are struggling with finances, relationships, work, family, and life in general.

We are people that believe in God and try to live righteously to the best of our abilities.

Meanwhile, people who are theves, liars, murderers, cheats, and crooks seem to prosper without any recourse.

Anyone living in the modern world surely must want to believe? There is still not one shred of evidence for a god and looking at evidence of how men lived 2000 years ago, logic and common sense points to it all being man made. Especially as there are so many religions..What do you think?

I find it very interesting here that some protestants will blantantly take pot-shots at roman catholics for their beliefs; myself, having a family that is about half catholic & half protestant I never see that kind of behavior there.

The roman catholic church came into existence first and the protestant reformation began many years later in 1517; so then, why the animosity? Do some people really need to feel that superior to a fellow human being?

Islamic extremists seem to be at war everywhere.. Africa, Middle East, Southeast Asia, Asia, Europe, Eastern Europe etc..There also seems to be a divide in mosques here in North America and in Europe.. Moderate muslims are being marginalized and shouted down by more extreme elements within the mosque community. It seems like the religion is fracturing...

I went to see the Niner game last weekend and was disgusted to see all these mixed couples. I must have seen 20 obvious 49er fans arm in arm with r*ider fans. What self respecting Niner fan would get in a relationship with a r*ider fan? I held my tongue but do you think I should have confronted them?

(To non-Americans, the San Francisco 49ers are the greatest US football team ever, and the Oakland r*iders are the worst. They represent cities 10 miles away from each other)

I need a thank you gift for a female attorney friend who represented me in two cases, which we won. Nothing seems to say thank you enough. I worked with her for 6 years. I was employed by another partner. The whole staff was close and we seemed to be the family away from home. Since then everyone has went their own way but I have been in touch with her because of these cases and her niece is a friend of mine. The attorney is on her way to retirement by the end of the year. What could possibly say thank you enough?
