A lot of non-believers tell us that our religion is weak and is just a bunch of fairytales. we have FAITH in God. they need PROOF just to believe in something. do you think they're the weak ones and not us if they need proof for everything?

I have been learning about a lot of esoteric knowledge, and I was really impressed with how the religion of Christianity connects with a lot of things.

So last year has been a very big year for me. I was an atheist, but now thanks to the internet and the abundant knowledge I am a Chrstian again.

Surfing the net I stumbled upon this site: http://home.netcom.com/~mokeeffe/Karma&Christ.htm

Now what it says is that if a child is abused by its parent we shouldn't feel sorry for that child. For, and I am quoting, "in a past incarnation they were very abusive, and if the abused child is beaten to death by his parent, it is certain that he himself (or herself) once beat a child to death."

I am NOT admitting to doing evil things. I am just questioning this kind of karma because it doesn't feel right. I thought we were supposed to treat evil with goodness? I want to think know what others think about this subject.

It seems as though everyone on Yahoo Answers (particularly those in the R&S section) goes into an uproar if anybody mentions their own personal views. Athiests hate Christians, Christians hate Athiests, and Jews and Muslims are constantly being beaten down by everyone.

I am an Athiest, but one of the most important things to me is religious tolerance. I realize that not everybody agrees with me, but I would never try to convert somebody out of their beliefs, or even argue with their beliefs. Quite frankly, the only thing that offends me more than others trying to impose their beliefs on me is when I see other Athiests trying to impose their beliefs on those who follow a religion. It defiles all that I have worked for to become a tolerant person while still being an Athiest.

My question twofold: Is there any way to promote religious tolerance? And is there any way to get people to answer legitimate questions objectively, instead of bringing their personal views into play?

Hurricane Dean has already caused deaths in the Carribean and is likely to cause more death and distruction in Mexico and Central America.

I realize that tangible aid is needed, but will those of ALL RELIGIONS represented here also join in prayer that God (or your Gods, for the Pagan community) shelter the people of the region?

I do not feel that ANY religious person should have any problem in cross-faith prayer for the protection of the innocents there....

Where did this come from? "Split a piece of wood; I am there. Lift up a stone, and you will find me there."

Here is the answer:
Gospel of Thomas
77 Jesus said, "I am the light that is over all things. I am all: from me all came forth, and to me all attained.
Split a piece of wood; I am there.
Lift up the stone, and you will find me there."

I knew I had seen it somewhere, but it took some time to find it.

Precious stones used to make the varying foundation? I can imagine that the throne room probably gives off alot of energy, causing a large differential in temperature, it might crack the foundation if not spaced out properly.

"Hamsa Soham-Soham Hamsaha" is a Vedha Vaakyam (Vaakyam=Aphorism) of Hindu Religion. It is included among the "Maha(very great) Vaakyams-because it talks about Brahmam (very Superoir nature of God). All aphorisms talking about Brahmam are called Maha Vaakyams. There are a number of Maha Vaakyams in Vedham. A seperate branch Intreperting the nature of Brahmam(564 aphorisms) and Gloss written by 3 genius Scholars and 11 learned scholars on the basis of Vedham is known as "Vedhaantha". One International Hindu organisation has trnslated in their booklet the Maha Vaakyam)--"Hamsa Soham--Soham Hamsaha"-as "Let us create such a world again".This is NOT correct.---(A)Ham=I (remain)--Saha=Brahmam--Saha =Brahmam --Aham=I (remain)--"Hamsa Soham--Soham Hamsaha" ---=I remain Brahmam and Brahmam remains as me--same meaning is conveyed in another Maha Vaakyam -"Aham Braahmaasmi"---

P.S.:-(mention of Saha second time is missing in the main Post)

human and animal acrifices, human breeding for the purpose of infant sacrifice, collecting blood in chalice of the sacrificed, chanting, demonic presence, ceremony of inaugurating young boys into priesthood, summoning Lucifer and his spirits to possess young boys who have been chosen to become high priests, marriage to the beast ritual, sexual abuse of children, sacrificial murder of young children.

clearly these things are way to fun to save for only once a year. we do them all the time!!!!

so my question is, what does it take to live in such willful religious ignorance?

I met a brother about five years ago. He was disfellowship for sexual reasons. I ended up loving him and encouraged him to turn back to Jehovah. But I kept my association with him at armslenght because I knew that I wasn't supposed to associate with him. During that period he was reinstated. I still kept my distance, because I saw traits in him that I couldn't live with. I wanted to build myself spiritually because I myself was diciplined by being put on public reproof ( a reason that didn't envolved him). He was back for a year and attended meetings often. Today I found out that he was desfellowshipped again for the same reason.I know you guys would tell me that I shouldn't associate with him. Please don't judge me. Is just that I care for him so much and I wanted him to serve Jehovah along with me. It hurts me to see him throw away his life like this. I wish I could help. What should I do? Is there anyway I could show him I care and help him without disobeying Jehovah?

How can you read "I appeared to Abraham, to Issac, and to Jacob, as "God Almighty", but by My name Lord (a.k.a. YHWH/Jehovah/I AM) I was not known to them?

How is it possible to argue that Christ was not the Hebrew "God Almighty" before he asked to be called Lord/YHWH/Jehovah/ I AM?

Ezra 1:9-11

"Now this was their number: 30 gold dishes, 1,000 silver dishes, 29 duplicates; 30 gold bowls, 410 silver bowls of a second kind and 1,000 other articles. All the articles of gold and silver numbered 5,400."

Can we all agree that 1,000+1,000+410+30+30+29 does not equal 5,400?
