I think we are fortunate to know the truth and the truth has set us free. I feel sorry for unbelievers.

People who demand "proof" usually are turned off by organized religion and it's followers. There are two types of Christians... overcomers and non-overcomers. Unbelievers don't see much "proof" in the lives of the non-overcomers and assume that God is weak or does not exist.
Also, the fairly tales coming from most pulpits is enough to make an overcomer barf. Non-believers are not the weak ones. Christians who don't practice what they preach, and take the party line, are the weak ones.

I'm not Christian, and I'm answering this question in what I hope is clearly a respectful manner.
If one gets a phone call from someone purporting to be affiliated your bank/credit card co./accountant or some other person with responsibility over your finances, would you want proof that they are who they say they are, or would you have faith, take their word for it, and tell them anything they want to know: passwords, account numbers, etc? Is not spirituality at least as important as finances, if not more?
Thus (at least in some situations) faith can put one in a weaker place than proof. I will respectfully conced your right to consider your ancient book as more authoritive than a phone call, but I would remind you to some of us, the two are not so different.

I think that most people define weakness as "that which is not me." That is, no matter which side you are on, you want to view the other side as weak.
I think that looking for proof is an admirable cause, but believing in something without proof is not weak in the least. There are always questions that cannot be answered, and sooner or later even Athiests need to come to terms that we believe things that cannot truly be proven.

yeah, i do......they think its too much trouble to believe... they dont want to put time into it. and they dont want to be held accountable for their actions.....so, they take the easy way out and say, "oh there is no such thing a GOD" or whatever... so yes, i think it is a complete lack of strength and a lot of pride on their part. the thing i have noticed most is that , they want so badly to be "different". they think we (christians) are the majority, and that by goin a different way they are some how "better" than the rest of us, because " they can think for themselves" as they say. well, guess what... they ARE NOT different! they are rapidly becoming the majority... they are all just alike....they think they are too smart to beleive anything like we do... but they will find out soon enough, i guess. but when you think about it, they have to have a lot of "faith" to believe what they do.... ok, we all came from a random explosion out of nowhere.. yeah right!! we are complex creatures with real feelings and emotions and needs... is it just a coincidence that all the things in this world must also exist just so we can?? no its not! and when you ask an atheist how we got here, most of the time they will say, evolution..but here is my question to them... how did the monkeys get here?? and what caused this random "explosion"? in the BIBLE, it talks about how even when they have seen all these things like the rapture, they will still not believe... it says their hearts are so hardened that even with proof, they will still deny him.

Requiring proof is much more challenging than willing to accept things based on unreliable evidence. You lie when you say you use faith and not evidence. (i replaced your terminology of 'proof' with 'evidence' since proof is only possible in mathematics, not science) You do required evidence otherwise you wouldn't even know about your god. Your evidence is probably from a) Religious teachings and b) ancient texts. These are both VERY unreliable evidence. Don't claim that you use faith when all you really do is trust unreliable evidence. That's not faith, that's naive.

i am not a Christian, but i find your question interesting.
you are right, it does take alot of strength to have faith.
BUT you are missing something very important. many people who are non Christian have been Christian at one point or another in their lives. I was a Christian. Many of us take the ridicule and judgement of Christians much more than you realize.
would it not be more productive if Christians would stop being so judgemental of non-Christians and would be more supportive of everyone finding their own spiritual truth?
no, i suppose to you, it would not be. and if it is not better, then you are proof that you take pleasure in judging others.
it is time for Christians to understand that the Bible only gives you authority to judge OTHER CHRISTIANS. you, in no way, have the right by your faith to judge non-Christians in any way, shape, or form regarding their faith.

Non believers are just that. Our faith allows us to believe in some things that we have been taught are there but we cannot touch or see. Our God is a good example.
Some people are just insecure and must see or feel to believe, while others are so gullible they will believe anything you say.
Reminds me of the old joke, tell people there are billions of star in the universe and they believe you, tell them your park bench is fresly painted and wet, they have to touch it to believe it.

It is not about weak or strong.... They are just lost and that is a shame.
See, God has opened OUR eyes and ears. HE chose us........
Then gave us free will to choose him.
Most people are fearful of what they don`t understand and fearful people are full of hate of the unknown, and act accordingly. As well as most folks who don`t know what they are talking about will ALWAYS attack. When you see or hear, attack, Just understand their ignorance.. Because, it truly shows, at that point.
One more thing.. Did you know that there are over 600 writings concerning Jesus and his miracles that have nothing to do with GOD. There is certainly a huge amount of Archealogical evidence that backs our Bible up.. Lots of those biblical lands are still being lived in. We have much PROOF. Ya just have to look.
However, It takes Faith , faith and faith IN Jesus to get to Heaven..
Pray for those who are lost and leave the rest up to him. He IS in control.
Remember that we ARE overcomers. You have to be strong to overcome ANYTHING....
Peace and God bless from Texas <><

If people don't want to believe something, then even we have proof and they still don't believe. For example, some people don't believe the Nazi kill million of Jews and man walk on the moon is a hoax. It is just a few examples.

Well if you need proof of something, you do not need to believe.
Believe means that you know its true even tough it can't be proved. If you have proof, there is knowledge, not believe.
Now, when someone claims something, the burden of proof is on the person making the claim. If cristians claim that their god exists, the burden of proof is on them, not on the people who challenge this believe.
After all, it still breaks down if you have faith or not.
