I know I was born gay. I don't believe it is genetic. I think it is has do with the hormones while your in the womb. Plus, nobody picks the hard life. Would I want to pick to be treated like crap by homophobic people?

Hmm.. good question.... When i was younger (back in kindergarten too), I remember thinking that i was different from all the other kids... I never enjoyed chasing guys and playing with them (like the other girls) but i loved being with girls and chasing them... As time passed by, I developed crushes on some girls just like any straight guy would... i was never raped as a kid, or molested and i wasn't closer to my father... nothing happend to make me choose my sexuality... this was the way i turned out and i really dont regret or feel embarrased about anything. i love women and nothing will ever change that...
To answer your question, i know for sure that it wasn't my choice to like women... I tried to have crushes on guys and that just never felt right (and it never worked either :P)... It was like asking a straight guy to fall in love with another guy.. it's not gonna happen... so my guess is that i was born gay.. but i will never know that for sure... people in general will never know why some humans are gay and some are straight... (well at least not till they find the infamous "gay" gene"...

Hmm that's difficult...i don't know..scientists do say there are genes that can trigger homosexualiy when you are still developing within your moms stomach but i don't know. I'm gay NOW but as far as i can remember i had ALWAYS been attracted to both females and males. I didn't see nothing wrong with liking other girls at the age of 5. In fact i thought it was normal so i didn't care much. It wasn't until i started getting a little older that i realized the term for that attraction. Then, as i started getting older and older i stopped liking guys more and more..they didn't interest me anymore..i just loved women..and the idea of a penis going anywhere near me..ugh..makes me shudder..just dudes period turn me off..so i guess it was my choice then to say that i'm gay. So to answer your question..i think it could be both

I am bi-sexual. Realized it at Six years old. Have watched several generations grow up. Sexuality is definitely a born-in trait. However there are events life that can diminish or increase hormonal expression by the individual. This fact does not, however, change the initial orientation . Trust me.

I don't remember making a conscious choice. Nor do i know anybody who did. Scientific evidence suggest it's both nature and nurture.
Because it's observed among animals it strongly suggests biological , rather than choice; i don't see animals making that kind of 'choice'.
People should check resolved questions, as this has been asked hundreds of times on yahoo q&a.

I have to say this over and over:
But no, being gay was never a choice. It just happened. I'm not sure if I was born gay, can't prove it, but it's rarely a choice. EVER.
And just ignore spiderpig's answer, it's ignorance at it's best!

I think that I was born gay.I felt the sexual attraction to men by age 10 even though I didn't understand it or act on it until a few years later

Well I didn't wake up one morning and say, "homosexuality looks like so much fun, I think i'll join 'em!" There was this nagging at me constantly, I could just feel I was different. I just wasn't attracted to boys at all, and I constantly thought about girls...
