Anyone living in the modern world surely must want to believe? There is still not one shred of evidence for a god and looking at evidence of how men lived 2000 years ago, logic and common sense points to it all being man made. Especially as there are so many religions..What do you think?

Yes not none shred of evidence? Shall I write it twice for you? No one has yet provided one shred of evidence for a god (That's 3 times now)

You'd like me to provide an expert demonstration of how something doesn't exist? What kind of logic is that?

The Odyssey by Homer was written a bit before the Bible and there are a lot of similiarities between the two. I'm only saying that because we take the Odyssey as a tale, but the Bible is religious fact. What we cal magic in the Odyssey, we call the EXACT same thing a miracle in the Bible, for example the burning bush episode which happens in both books. There are plenty of reasons that speak loudly about it being all man made.

I would think it's a little of both really. Most people would like to believe there is some purpose to all of this, and better yet, that there is some hope for something better than all of this. I myself seek the truth, whatever it might be. It's so tough though. I see the logic in theories of our origins, whether those theories proclaim creation or pure chance, I can see the logic. In truth I feel there is even evidence pointing to both.

It's all about how you internalize things, what you perceive to be true essentially becomes true, even if just to you. Which brings me to my next point, I think many of those who 'want to believe' end up 'believing.' It just happens, for one reason or another. If for the next 16 hours I researched explainations on how this all happened by chance, it would most likely begin to feel more real, and seem more logical. If for the next 16 hours, I researched intelligent design and/or the Bible, that would begin to seem more real. And though I say both of those statements out of my own personal experience, I believe most if not all others could relate.

And that's what's tough. Finding a balance, so that you are taking in both sides of the story without favoring one, in order that you can lean toward the more reasonable course. But I find believers and non-believers are so stubborn in their ways. They criticize one another to no end, disrespect each other, and every once in a while actually attempt to co-exist, whether mutually seeking the truth or just agreeing to disagree.

in some views , some prophecies cant really be considered a prophecies because they werent give a expiry date.

some didnt fufilled too , some failed . do a internet search , they quote from bible and show historical and modern evidence . no point for me to quote here either. lazy ~ but trust me its in the bible.

prophecies appear as prophecies because some of the people interpret till as if it did really happen.

if i tell you theres a war and i meant a bloody fighting war in the future. surely it will happen.

assuming it didnt , instead theres virus , hacking of internet , nuking , zombie drones attack , then people would say my propehcies of 'war' has happen.

assuming it didnt again , then lets say theres political war , then people would say my prophecies happened again.

given a unlimited time frame , prophecies are bound to happen.

it cant be used as a proof . there are some that DIDNT happen and proven wrong , but no one wanna admit. its all over the web.

sure you can boo me , i did my research before considering whether to convert. if you have 1 super concrete evidence that show that god exist , i definitely convert.

then again that god himself must say that he is the biblical god , and not hindu god and stuff.

will it happen? i don't think it's in my lifetime.

i prophecise that sun is gonna extinguish 1 day , and i gonna have some boo , or maybe thumbs up

I've been in a church where a person i knew got baptize and I asked him now your a member to this church and he answered right but I'm not coming anymore, i asked him why do you say that and you just got baptize and he said i just did that so when i die this church will bury me! Many that are in the church do not believe but attend for other reasons, they follow the traditions of men rather than the doctrines of God. they want to believe but are so ill informed.

I believe 100%. I believe that there is a god up there watching over all of us, yes of course bad things happen, but if the world wasn't so corrupted these things would never happen. Basides be honest do you really think the world began with a BIG BANG!.....I just don't see it happening.

But sooner or later all of our questions will be answered.

Faith supercedes the need for evidence someone like you might require. Since you can't allow yourself to have faith, you will never have enough "evidence". I don't "believe", I KNOW.
