There are earthquakes in the United States. Hawaii has had quite a few just recently. California has them frequently. The U.S. has been hit with many events, such as hurricanes, tornadoes, floods, fires, that have caused astronomical damages.

God is not a respecter of persons. Just because you are poor doesn't mean you won't have hardships, and just because you are rich doesn't mean you will live a live without pain either.

The bible teaches that there will be earthquakes and the like in various places, and that is happening and has always happened. But the end is not yet, it teaches.

And that is why I love Him. He gives us time and time again throughout the centuries to get it right.

tectonic plates which causes earth quake have been moving even way before any religion are started.

some even merge into the current country where people are living in.

so from some point of view , it apparently appears that jesus 2nd coming should have occur before the first coming because the signs has been showing since earth was there

I bet the folks in California ask that every day, you know, because they never have earthquakes, it's just a figment of their imaginations.

y'all know I'm being sarcastic? I used to write insurance in California, what with the flash fires, earthquakes, etc it is hard for a business or homeowner to get a decent rate. True story.

Why do you think "God caused" it? God created the world, He isn't a propmaster or a puppetmaster. Everyone in the world has the same chance of calamity. Storms like the one that hit Peru hit on US soil all the time. But we have a better infrastructure, so it's our fault? That is a pretty sad question.

There are earthquakes all over the world, all the time.

They just have better building codes in civilized countries, so the building are less likely to collapse and kill lots of people.

A god or gods don't even enter into the equation...

People do God a disservice when they say he brings disasters like these earthquakes upon people. The fact is that, as stated a James 1:13, God does not try people with evil things.

Everyone will get their turn sooner or later.

God has created a beautiful world, only it is very corrupt and the more corrupted it gets the more damage it causes.

Read the last chapter of the bible it predicts everything and the people who don't believe will soon believe. Everything happens for a reason, we may not always understand it but one day you will.

Last time he caused a natural disaster in the US the help given by the govt was less than would be provided by a poor country like Peru. Them southern states don't matter.
