I'd love to hear from any Mormons who have really studied the Jehovah's Witness religion, and can tell me what makes the two religions similar.

Does the Quran show us instances of this kind of extentional pressure using mass and weight properties as Enstien showed? This book has been unchanged and untouched for 1428 years since the last word spoken to Jibreal to Muhammed SAW, nothing changed in Arabic Text Format that it came it has not noun/verb format that is why my spelling is terrible and grammer, we see so much differance in this architecture than any other, using maybe just the words if I have not given it away already can you place this property in the Quran.

Yes the Questions are hard you made them that way, we where using Spiderman he was goofy and easy, now your in my Ocean lets see you swim.. Salam

in the 1960s psychologist george tamarin carried out an experiment on israeli children. the children were read joshua 6:20-21.

"The children's answers to the question "Do you think Joshua and the Israelites acted rightly or not?," were categorized as follows: "'A' means total approval, 'B' means partial approval or disapproval, and 'C' means total disapproval." Across a broad spectrum of Israeli social and economic classes, 66% of responses were "A," 8% "B," and 26% "C."

As a control group, Tamarin tested 168 israeli children who were read Joshua 6:20-21 with "General Lin" substituted for Joshua and a "Chinese Kingdom 3000 years ago" substituted for Israel. General Lin got a 7% approval rating, with 18% giving partial approval or disapproval, and 75% disapproving totally."

If you go to confession in a Catholic Church to confess to murder, does the priest have to keep quiet? Do you have to go the police? Or it is exactly the opposite: can you not, under any circumstances, go to the authorities, especially if the person begged you not to?

(This is not me. This is for a book I am writing about a murderer who goes to confession and confesses to the brutal murder of a stranger).

simply asking an opinion- mrscjr said i dont have an open mind and that im using a more "counch" approach to disagreeing with religion. Well you guys got me wrong - im catholic i went to a catholic school i went to church monday and sundays. But i just dont spend every minute of my life preaching. i have had answeres to my last questions by people who have either answerd through speaking about christianity or who have asked the same questions, i directed my questions to all religions not just christianity. and why are people so defensive about this topic? im so fascinated how when someone says something like gay marrige is wrong yet doesnt religion talk about forgiving ? shouldnt religion be a bit more accepting of people and their beleifs, and what makes us happy? . I have come to the conclusion based on peoples answers that No matter what people believe they will never truly be a good person weather in the name of religion or not until we accept other people and what they believe

My boyfriend is going to propose to me soon. A couple months ago he asked my ring size and walked me into a jewelry store to look at rings. He said he was "on a hunt" and was open for suggestions. I tried my hardest to show him what kind of ring I want... I sent him links to websites and cut out magazine ads. I just found out through an annonymous source that his mother helped him pick out a ring for me, and she has HORRIBLE taste! Apparently the center stone is a cheap, low-quality diamond and it's everything opposite of what I hoped for. My stomach is in a knot... I don't know what to do. Somebody help???

I hate that christianity bribes little kids to believe what their parents do. I know that if I had kids right now I could get them to swear off religion if I promised them more presents than their christian friends.

I would also like to say that if all the christians in the world really truly believed in what the bible said there wouldn't be christians who steal, do drugs, miss a day of church etc. How could you really believe and condemn yourself to hell?

What are your thoughts?

I'm only against one group of people and that would be hicks. Hicks with small D*cks is what i call them. I'm against them because most of them are racist and against innocent blacks and I'm a white guy who thinks it's wrong to judge someone on their culture and I do believe people choose to be hicks. There ignorant ******* who think they can control anyone around them. Plus they like to kill innocent animals and eat them... God this really does piss me off. They always judge other people and for once I'm judging them becuase they need to have more self respect. NOT ALL but most seem to be this way. Trust me I lived in Hick Town way back when and those were the worst three years of my life. Anyone else who isn't one, see's where I'm coming from?

“Whosoever calls upon the lord will be saved”, “repeat this prayer after me and your place in heaven will be set”, on and on the messages of salvation flow. It certainly doesn’t sound hard does it? Believe in Jesus, repeat this prayer and confess your sins – then you will be greeted at the pearly gates. For each instance of how easy it is to be saved, the bible has instances that seem quite the contrary. It says “many will seek to enter in and shall not be able”. You missed the end – shall not be able. They try and are not able. The bible also says: “I will have mercy on whom I have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I have compassion. It does not, therefore, depend on man's desire or effort, but on God's mercy.”

is this a contradicition?

Online, it is hard to tell a Poe from a Fundamentalist. Even if someone is a moderate Christian it would be hard to know if they are being truthful.

What is a litmus test for knowing who is a "real" Christian?

Please forgive me for commiting the "No True Scotsman" fallacy.

Mitt is Mormon is Mormon, in our religion abortion is a huge No-No.... but I've heard a lot that Republicans are Pro-Choice, so what will happen with this? Has Mitt ever talked about that? Any link or whatever? or was I wrong with the pro-choice thing and Republicans?

Atheists seem to be highly threatened by religion, Christians and God. Is it their lack of faith and knowing that the possibility exists that they may indeed have to meet their maker on judgement day that they fear the most?

I know God whispers to us but we must be still and listen. sometimes i hear his voice. but sometimes i think i hear the answers that i subconsciously want to hear. On Sunday i heard a preacher say that, when we pray we are having a conversation with God and not a monologue. So once in a while, we must be silent and stop the inner chatter in our head and listen to what God is saying back. what are your experience?

I am so F***ING tired of having all the cool people banned from Yahoo!Answers while the trolls stay. Their seems to be more trolls than ever now. Ok trolls, WE ARE GAY, get the f*** over it and get out of our section, you peice of crap, worthless use of air. Find a hobby like russian roulette or get a job. If you think the KKK is the way to God, you have a sick way of thinking. Those robes will burn off quickly in the fires of hell. I know it isn't my job to condemn anyone but I'm just tring to show you the truth. I will pray for you all. Being homosexuality isn't a choice. If it was, I would be a heterosexual like most of the population.
