Why does it not mention dinaosoures or photosynthesis? This is a real question i don't mean to have a bible smashing session... i really want to know. If it is some all knowing book wouldn't it mention these key facts reguarding our world and how it works/came about?

Job 40 it says Look at the behemoth which i made along with you... hardly talking about a beast that lived millions of years before us.
And about photosynthesis... it's probably the most important factor concerning our existence. In genesis it talks about vegetation being a source of food for our benefit and all... but it's major function is it's ability to let us breath!! That is what gets to me... it has no mention of that. If it does please point it out.

Alot of people say dinos aren't mentioned because people of those time wouldn't believe it... but if that was the case how would anyone believe of an after life???
And other's say dinos weren't around during the biblical times... but that's my point... they were way before those times. So how could the world have been created in 7 days equipt with men and all that we know without mention of dinos and all that came before us???

Everyone dismisses these arguements saying that the people of those times didn't know of these things yet!! That is my exact point... if the bible is supposed to be the word of god or jesus and so revolutionary and all knowing than it wouldn't matter tha people didn't discover these things yet, it would have been told to them by the word of god... just like the word of god told them that the world was created in 7 days and all. No one is convincing me with that omniscient bs because if it was writen with infininte awareness than thest things (that science exposed) would have already been known as fact.

If the point of the bible is to tell us about god and his message an all that.... does it make sense that it has no idea about anything else that it states? That it just makes up s h i t about how the world was created and how it works. If i'm to believe that it is the word of our creator than i feel it should be factual throught. It doesn't make sense to me... everyone says... that's not the point... the point is gods message. Did god just make up everything else except for "his message?"

Everything in the bible is stated as factual including genesis... we now know that that is b u l l s h i t. How can anyone still hold on to this book as the word of our creator? I mean come on... are you saying our creator had no faith in us... was his thinking... well h ell these humans will never figure out that i'm just making up this cr ap so i'll just say what ever comes off the top of my head? Wake up people... its a good moral book but it was not written from the word of our creator! Its Platos poetic lie!!! Read the republic and you'll realize why the people of those times felt it was necessary to write a book like that. We are past it now.

lol... now i'm worried! as i'm making this arguement some infomercial comes on taking about god and his message and all that. But come on... put it in these terms... i'm going out on a limb here but i'm trying to put my arguement in terms that everyone will understand. Take the war in iraq... bush believes his reasoning is justified by his moral beliefs that he is setting up a democracy in the middle east... that is best for everyone involved... however no one believes his s h i t cause he lied about his reasoning for going over there in the first place... nukes and all. Look that may not be the best example... i'm sure i'll come up with a better arguement downplaying a moral standpoint supported by lies... but you should get my point.

The bible was written 40 years after the supposed death of Christ. No other scholar mentions Jesus Christ doing anything that he did. So the bible isnt true. It's just a bunch of stories that a few people wrote together and claimed to be true.

I'm not going to say that I know, without a doubt , the answer to your question. But let's consider a few things. The Bible may not explicitly say that dinosaurs existed, but it doesn't say that they didn't either. Maybe they did, maybe they didn't. There is a line of thinking that since the Bible starts primarily in the Garden of Eden and surrounding area, but then asks, what took place out of that area? Could dinosaurs be part of it? I'm not so sure that I agree with that kine of thought, but I guess it's worth contemplating. To my knowledge, the Bible doesn't mention Panthers, gorillas, hamsters, minnows, and more. That doesn't mean they didn't exist, they just aren't mentioned. The main thrust of the Bible is centered upon God, Christ, law, faith, salvation, regulations, sin, and people.

Well whether the Bible is true or not isn't based on whether it states key facts or not. The reason it doesn't mention dinosours or photosynthesis is because back in the time the Bible was written people didn't know of these things.

The bible was written by con men to be read by gullible people who were encouraged to give 10 percent of the total income before tax to their local priest.
Sort of precursor of the modern casino, where you bet money with the idea of getting twice as much if you play baccarat
The priest of any religious denominations are telling people the more you give us the more God will give you. Ten times twenty time even more. That sounds like roulette

Regarding the dinosaurs I got an idea religious people say that in the bible there is one part where they talk about giants. perhaps those giants were imagine by the early humans to be the bones of gigantic people and never thought that it could have been of a gigantic animal. Just a thought

Nobody claims it is an all-knowing book, they claim that what is in it is true. It does not have to mention everything that ever happened while it was written. The Bible was written over a 1400 year period and the accuracy of what is said and predicted in the Bible is amazing. To the person that says no other scholar mentions Jesus, read Josephus the 1st century historian, me mentions that crucifixion.

Dinosaurs are in the Bible. They were created during the 6 days of creation with everything else. They are commonly referred to as Bohemoth, Leviathan, dragons, or even as whales, because in the original language "whale" sometimes meant "dragon". As for photosynthesis, I'm not sure, but the Bible doesn't mention other things that we know to be true either. There is truth outside of the Bible...but it never contradicts the Bible. :)

God is Omniscient. He created everything scientifically. Human are knowing this knowledge by His grace now only little by little. In those days there is no cell phones. If anybody told of this cell phones in those days no body would have believed. When the time comes every one will know He is the creator. Al l these names are given by man. The formula is secret. Patented.

The Bible teaches us salvation history and about God's relationship with people. It is not and was not intended to be an accurately historical tool( by today's standards anyway) or a scientific guide. IT is a book designed to teach God's Plan and his relationships. Dinosaurs and photosynthesis are an important part of human lives but do not directly relate to our salvation or relationship with God. This is why he left it up to Scientists to explain stuff like dinos.

These question about why the bible/Quran or whatever religious book doesn't mention some things clearly can be answered by remembering when these books first came into existance, do you think that if God had told people about dinasoures IN one of his holy books, do you think any of the people of the older generations would have accepted it??? they would have rejected it right away. These ideas seem pretty normal to us, but wouldn't have to them (more than 1400 centuries ago)

Maybe it doesn't do those things because it was written by people who didn't have a clue. Instead of telling people to boil their water before drinking it the bible seems to deal more with interior decorating of temples where the people who came up with it lived.

I wouldn't expect it to mention photosynthesis. It's not a biology book.
It doesn't mention dinosaurs because they died out millions of years ago and were unknown in Biblical times.
Anyone that tells you that dinosaurs were around in Biblical times, is nutty.
