Seriously, I think half the questions in this section are I think so and so is gay what should I do?

Why would one need to do anything because of the preference of anothers bed partners?

I have lots of gay friends and their sexuality means nothing to me. Too many people are hypocrites and need to practice what they preach. If someone does not want to continue a friendship with another simply because they "might" be gay is not much of a friend anyway.

I think, even though some questions are worded in certain ways, generally people are just trying to help their friend or loved one, so they come to this section and ask. I know it seems like every day, people ask the same question a dozen times, but you have to remember that every situation is unique. If you don't want to answer the questions, do what I do and wait until some questions you want to answer com along!

That's a very good question. I've had gay friends come out to me and the only thing I had to "do" was stop trying to set them up with people of the opposite gender. I think all they have to do is be flattered that their friend trusted them enough to confide in them.

You're absolutely right--that's how it should be. But as we can see by these questions posed over and over, it is an issue.

It's hoped that this is a forum where people can be educated to hasten the day when our bed partners are nobody's business.

I know what you mean. Those questions are so irritating. People apparently don't think...because obviously there is nothing to do but either accept the friend or move on.

it depends

some wants to end the friendship because they think negatively of gays

some wants still assessing if they can overlook it despite their beliefs

and those that are in unfamiliar territory but really wants to help their friend as they are coming out

I just think maybe they worry about their friend when they are in the process of coming out. Maybe they are not sure how to act or something. It's not their fault.

I don't know.
I remember somebody I knew came out to me and my reaction was "Oh, ok, that's cool."
They were all like "It doesn't bother you?"
and I was all like "Why would I care?! Am I supposed to be bothered?"
