There is no guarantee, right? When you see that there is no consensus possible among the Earth´s nations, And not even between individuals. That some like it hot, others blue, and still others like it recycled... You think that there is one place for all? Or an infinite set of lonely places for each excentric.
How were they ever able to sell a place that no one has actually described? The day you patent it, you´ll make a fortune in Real Estate, don´t you think?

I keep hearing all these "christians" say that Catholics aren't christians because they do things that aren't in the bible, and it seems real silly to me... a non-believer... that christians can think this.

When did the Catholic bible stop being Catholic? When did the Catholic bible become the ONLY source of the christian faith? Who gave the word that if it isn't in the bible, it isn't from the christian god?

Does this make sense to you? The bible did NOT assemble itself, nor did it drop out of the sky from the hand of god complete with instructions not to believe anything but it. Catholics put it together using CATHOLIC rules and guidelines. There are other versions of the bible that contain other books, but most christians don't read those, they read the Catholic version. It didn't assemble itself. It had to fit within the Catholic faith, and was NOT the only source of the faith. Catholicism made the bible, the bible didn't make Catholicism, so how can you call them unchristian?

On Monday night Richard Dawkins will carry on where he finished with his last series 'The Root Of All Evil' in his new Channel 4 series 'The Enemies of Reason'.

This time he will turn his fire away from christians/muslims to those people who believe in new age mysticism and astrology.

Should Channel 4 allow this individual to upset people by trying to undermine and ridicule their belief systems?

Was Jesus actually the central part of human history? What with the movements he started and the turning point between B.C.E. and C.E. and the wars started over him, was he actually the most influencial and controversial man in history?

Nothing too gory. All that dripping blood and his tortured anguished expression creeps me out. Maybe Jesus holding a Stratocaster - that'd be cool.

Do people pray for just what they are affected by?
Do some people pray for big things like world peace, so they can impress god?
Is prayer in any way, second guessing god's will?

If we were one nation under God, we'd all believe in one God...right? So we don't, so we aren't one nation under god. Not to mention the other lie in the pledge...justice for all is a bit pushing it.

I have been a Christian for quite a few years, and the longer I am the more I realize how people see Jesus in us, is how they see Jesus. If we speak truth to the them, and point fingers at their sin, and never share how Jesus has changed us with His love and transforming power, why would others want to know Jesus? Yes, we are to speak truth, but Jesus spoke truth and love. How do people who do not believe see Jesus in you today? My own answer is this- "I pray that people see the love of Christ in me as I reach out to share the truth of how Jesus can change lives, because He changed mine."
