changed your mind? Have they ever made you feel sad? Why?

Slashanburn: A troll!, If I were you I would be more selective in whose advice I follow. It is undeserved nastiness from bitter people such as yourself that make me sad. I doubt we have anything in common, so please feel free to block me. If you mean an atheist by saying troll, then yes I am. I have many kindly, open minded Christian contacts on here and have no need of your narrow minded opinion. I feel pity for you, so bitter, why did you answer my question if you had been warned about me? Just grabbed the opurtunity to be nasty it appears. I hope you find peace. May I also suggest in life you form your own oppinions about people, apart from making you a happier person, it also serves to make the world a better place.
I feel strangly flattered that you have been warned about me, obviously I have struck a cord with at least two narrow minded bigots.

Slash: You remind me of Seletape, a barely literate, white rasta wanabe who is in denial about being gay. I guess he's the person who advised you. He's just a mixed up dole dosser, although I'll admit he really makes me laugh,

The blind, unreasoning faith exhibited by many theists here is very depressing. The circular logic - proving scripture by quoting more scripture, the ad hominem attacks on atheists, the denial of the mountains of evidence from science because they have a book written in the Bronze age and would prefer to believe that - it does get me down sometimes, and makes me wonder if we are slipping into some kind of counter-enlightenment. But I do take comfort from the strong cohort of critical thinkers who make their presence felt here!

the questions and responses have not been convincing enough to change my mind, some have broadened my perspective, some have educated me, few have offended, but most of all I appreciate the curiosity and thirst that drives the questioner to seek answers, some even seek confirmation (which is the norm), however, if I were to put an emotion behind what I feel with all of the negative energy, I would say sad. Because, debate is great, having differing views is great, variety keeps life interesting, but I feel for the ones who are bitter, angry, self righteous and close minded, because the emotional drama is keeping them from seeking beyond the reactionary response.

Have been trying to find a forum with intellect....nothing so far. All I find are a lot of dumb, disrespectful junk from what seems to be a lot of 'drop-outs' who can't spell or figure out the difference between a statement and a question. Makes me wonder if they got past 6th grade. And, , these are the people who will inherit the country.

I find this section funny and heart-warming at times, but sad quite often when I see how easily led some people are, and how uneducated some are, and they seem proud of it. Some are quite over the top, too...as my email can attest...and that's sad and scary.

i've come to understand that there is a lot of comedy writing talent that is just sooo hidden away here...i had originally thought that the written word was dead or at least stagnant...

sad? oh yes...there are the questions or comments from people who are ill, lonely, unhappy, etc. makes me want to get in my car and drive over to give them a hug or some cookies, or something. makes me sad because i believe that Christ is the answer that will give them strength to make it through their troubles, but they don't...so all i can do sometimes is pray...

I'm stubborn. It's hard to change my mind.

Sad, though, many times. Who'd have thought that R&S would be the LEAST peaceful place in YA?

Sometime I become very sad when I here a Christian tormented by sin. I think I would like to help them be free of this way of thinking. I think it would be the compassionate thing to do.

I am sad that there are so many atheists in the world. What I mean by that is that there are so many nice, moral atheists that I wish were born again Christians. They would make outstanding Christians. I am sad that they don't CHOOSE God/Jesus but continue to deny Him and be blinded by lies that there is no God.
