I remember the part that touched the electrical wires overhead and the tracks in the streets. I was quite young but I do remember those things before they took up the tracks and did away with them. We have a trolley museum where you can visit and still ride them again within the compound. Such fun.

Some say.. "share the Gospel..use words when necessary"
Is our testimony only ours? Attesting to the kind of believer we are in the Lord? Or does it go deeper. Whose name do we bear? Yes..its the Name of Jesus Christ. Our testimony is actually also His testimony. What kind of testimony are we in all our environments.. At work..home.. schools...church...our neighbourhood, before the Lord when He searches our hearts:)

And the God of peace Himself Sanctify you wholly and may your sprit soul and body be preserved complete without blame at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
1 Thess 5:23

Now the person I'm having in mind would be a person who reads the bible and who is least likely in the whole world to be an anti Christ. The only remotely anti christ thing she does in not pray to Jesus everyday. I don't want any that wouldn't be possible cra p. Anything is possible and I think that is most likely how we would fall into a trap. I believe that the anti christ is going to be someone saying there his recarnation OR that he loves us. You know god is a strong tester

I have always been told that 2 wrongs do not make a right but according to an article I recently read online in the Baptist Press if it isn't right it is at least better.

In a story discussing an "ex-gay" they say:

"Although Glatze's new religion of Mormonism denies essential elements of Christianity, his story of leaving homosexuality is nonetheless significant."

http://www.sbcbaptistpress.org/BPnews.asp?ID=26210

If his conversion to Mormonism denies essential elements of Christianity, in their eyes he must still be going to hell. I do not see why they are so happy about this.

Can anyone clear this up for me? Am I missing something? Or do they just have an anti-gay agenda where anything bad for gays is good for Christianity?

The saints in the book of Acts were persecuted because of the Name of the Lord.. calling on the name of the Lord was one of the ways that saul of tarsus identified the believers. What is it in this name that satan wants to utterly blot out? This name that is above all names under the earth..on the earth and in heaven. This name that is the sweetest name on earth... the name that we cry out when we are deepest pit and are rescued. The name that the overcomers in the Church in Philadelphia ( Revelation 3) held fast to and did not deny.
Today we are called CHRIST-ians. Those that are Of and belong to Christ. What does His name truly mean to us. Would we ever deny His name? Would we take the name of another over His. Do we say I am baptist. or wesleyian or catholic or penticostal Or do we just say we are CHRIST-ians.
Share with me.. what is this name JESUS CHRIST! to you:)

Below is a direct quote from the WBTS:

"Jehovah will put all false prophets to shame either by not fulfilling the false predictions of such self-assuming prophets, or by having his own prophecies fulfilled in a way opposite to that predicted by the false prophets." Paradise Restored pp. 353-354

Does a sober consideration of the Society's past evidence an indisputable divine backing? Does a chronological analysis of its leaders' teachings and prophetic pronouncements point incontrovertibly and inescapably to the fact that they have indeed acted as a unique channel of communication between God and man? How does the Watchtower’s 120 years of history as God’s "channel of communication" compare with God’s historic method of communication as evident in the Bible?

http://towerwatch.com Is it time to stop analizing those who point out falsehood and look into the falsehood its self?

Lastly, if the WBTS is not a false prophet, then Who is?

Let us grant four common arguments:

1. Somehow everything got here, so someone must have created it
2. If there is no basis for ethics there is no ethics, so there must something acting as the source of all ethics.
3. Many people feel a deep personal relationship with a supernatural entity, this entity must exist for them to feel that way.
4. There is evil in the world, so there must be an entity that acts as the source of the evil.

If we accept the arguments we have “found”:
1. A creative force
2. An ethical force
3. An entity that relates to us
4. An evil force

What possible reason do we have for conflating the first three into a unitary concept of God? And whilst we ARE conflating why do we not conflate the evil force with the other three?

Some questions for those who refuse to believe anything, if they cannot find it in the Bible. Tell me then, how can you find answers to these questions?

1. Show me in the Bible the list of inspired books in it? If you cannot find such a list then how do you know the book you call the Bible is the Bible?
2. Show me in the Bible where the word "Trinity" is defined? If you cannot find the word in the Bible, then why do you believe in the doctrine? From where did the word "Trinity" come?
3. Same question for the word "Incarnate"?
4. Show me in the Bible where the Bible tells you that all the books within it are inspired?
5. Show me in the Bible where Jesus said what Luke said He said in this verse?
"...and REMEMBER the WORD of the Lord Jesus, that He Himself said, 'It is more blessed to give than to receive'." Acts 20:35
6. Show me in Scripture the reference of Matthew 2:23 that "he shall be called a Nazarene"?
7. Show me in Scripture the reference of Matthew 5:43 that "you s

I mean, surely life these days in more dangerous than 2000 years ago.

He could get hit by a car, stabbed by a mugger, get electrocuted, be falsly imprisoned and then killed in jail, suffer a fatal blow in a pub brawl, catch a stray bullet, get bird-flu, get MRSA, get caught up in a random terrorist explosion on innocent people...

what would happen if he did? would he come back AGAIN?

and don't tell me he can't die, 'cos he already did.

For me I'd say it's 50/50 in R&S.

In real life I only know one person who doesn't respect me just because I'm a Christian, so that's completely different.

Also, where in the Bible, does it say that the religion of the followers of Christ is christanity? From what i know, Christ was not even his name, nor was it Jesus! The name "Christ" comes from the Greek word Christos which means the annointed. That is, Christ is a Greek translation of the Hebrew title "Messiah". The name "Jesus" on the other hand, is a latinized version of the Hebrew name Esau.
