I have about 2 pair. One at the computer and one in the kitchen just to use when the print is oh so small to read. I won't have to run and get my "real" reading glasses out my purse each time I need them.

I bought a lot of them at Dollar Tree for a few years before I had to have bifocals. I bought one pair for every room in the house, the car, my purse and work.

No, I've got prescription glasses, the ones I wear most of the time, and 2 pairs of 'reading' glasses, 1 upstairs, 1 down, I only use them for the computer. I take my glasses off to read, or peer over the top if I'm reading labels in shops, real granny style!

The only stupid question, in my opinion is the one that is not asked, so your question is not stupid. Heavy cream is in the diary case, you will find it by half-and-half. Shiitake mushrooms are in the produce section usually by the green peppers, but not always. Shiitake mushrooms are fresh and offer a unique flavor. They are a bit more expensive then white button mushroom, I think you would be okay to use baby bella mushrooms also known as crimini - less expensive and offer fantastic flavor. Sherry wine, yes in the wine section and generally found at the super market. Most great chef's will tell you to use only a wine that you would drink and generally I agree with them. However if you are not a drinker, then you are spending a great deal of money on something that you may only need a cup of. Look by the vinegar's and see if you can find a cooking sherry versus buying a wine. Good luck. Keep practicing and you will be a skilled kitchen chef in no time.

Yes, guilty as charged. I have a pair of prescription reading glasses but they are in need of repair. I guess I need to stop putting that off. I once had a pair of otc glasses & the eye doctor said they were very near to my prescription glasses in strength.

Yes my optometrist told me not to waste my money on prescription lenses when the OTC ones would do just as well for me.

I had heard they could ruin your eyes but he said that isnt true, to buy them instead, and save a ton of money.

I believe it was something like $500 compared to $20. So I had four pairs but I am now down to 3. One pair in the bathroom drawer for tweezing, one on my bedside table and another pair in my purse.

They had really gorgeous funky ones in China! I wish I had bought a dozen pairs when I was there, very cheap compared to in NA. :-(

The only person I have seen with the ones I saw overseas is my surgeon and she is so stylish -

No, sorry. My eyesight is so bad without my "real" glasses that I have them on all the time, from the moment I first sit up in bed.

The only time I take them off is to lay down and read in bed. I invariably fall asleep doing this, so I want my glasses to be safe in their case instead of crushed underneath me. (And I can see quite clearly to about eight inches out from my nose, so holding a book close in bed to read is fine.)

I used those glasses when I first noticed that I needed help. I went to the last number which I think is 3.5 and then I had to get prescribed glasses.

Yes, I do. Some dollar stores and even Michael's sells them for a dollar. Hard to pass that up. I'm hard on glasses, so they need to be cheap
