Some say.. "share the Gospel..use words when necessary"
Is our testimony only ours? Attesting to the kind of believer we are in the Lord? Or does it go deeper. Whose name do we bear? Yes..its the Name of Jesus Christ. Our testimony is actually also His testimony. What kind of testimony are we in all our environments.. At work..home.. schools...church...our neighbourhood, before the Lord when He searches our hearts:)

And the God of peace Himself Sanctify you wholly and may your sprit soul and body be preserved complete without blame at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
1 Thess 5:23

Our testimony is simply a testament of our life. Everyday we write new pages into the book of our life to be read by those who know us. May the testament of our lives speak to this age that I am wrapped up, tied up and tangled up in Jesus. I have received Christ as my personal Savior.I am what I am , I am God's child, I am a servant of the most high God, I am committed and consecrated to the work of Christ. I am determine to make heaven my home. i have decided to follow Jesus. I will serve the Lord. This is my testimony.

2 Corinthians 5:20a "We are therefore Christ's ambassadors, as though God were making His appeal through us."

We are God' representatives in all our environments. Our testimonies reflect our obedience and our disobedience to Him But we are always 'work in progress', as we try to to follow His commandments.
Matthew 22:36-38 "Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law? Jesus replied: Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: Love your neighbor as yourself. All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments."

The quote you reference is from St. Francis of Assisi.

The issue is that our oral testimony has little impact if we are not also walking the walk. Faith, has been my experience, is something more caught than taught, and our Love for one another is what not only defines us according to Christ ("They shall know you by your love for one another") but always one of the things that should attract others.

I remember a BBC interview with Mother Theresa. The reporter challenged her that in the end most of the people she saved from the streets had not "converted" and that in light of this her mission in India could be viewed as a failure. I shall never forget her answer because it caused a paradigm shift in my thinking and faith walk. She said, "No, God calls me to faithfulness, success is His problem." Her testimony was her faithfulness - she left success in the hands of God.

When one gives his testimony for Christ, IT is actually THE HOLY SPIRIT that is testifying. Likewise, when with other peoples or if one is working in the office or in the fields, your virtues serve as your silent testimony given by THE HOLY SPIRIT of truth. Thus, one testimony is through the words of GOD and the other is through the gifts of THE HOLY SPIRIT through the virtues of christians like patience, understanding, peace of mind, love, suffering, fortitude, honesty, truthfullness, generosity, etc. One hand, the devil generates vices instead of virtues. Likewise, one may believe he/she is a christian but without these virtues, one is actually de-christianized and is now oriented to the ways of the world or the love of the world like divisiveness, quarrelsome, bitterness, vices, biases, gossips, prejudices, love of money called mammon, love of earthly power called mammoth, pride, etc.

My faith is in God, His Wisdom (His Word) and His Power. In fact, this is one of my best Bible verses And if they knew the wisdom of God, they would not reject His Son and His living Word. For it is only in Him that we live, move and have our being. The hidden wisdom is: Christ in you, the hope of GLORY! Col 1:27 To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory: It is only if we have Christ dwelling in us that we can have real hope and that we can be assured of a glorious life now and in the life that is to come. I love this question. May God bless you Donu Tim and Cookie the Dentist- try reading the verses from modern translations: 1Co 2:1 When I came to you, my friends, to preach God's secret truth, I did not use big words and great learning. 1Co 2:2 For while I was with you, I made up my mind to forget everything except Jesus Christ and especially his death on the cross. 1Co 2:3 So when I came to you, I was weak and trembled all over with fear, 1Co 2:4 and my teaching and message were not delivered with skillful words of human wisdom, but with convincing proof of the power of God's Spirit. 1Co 2:5 Your faith, then, does not rest on human wisdom but on God's power. 1Co 2:6 Yet I do proclaim a message of wisdom to those who are spiritually mature. But it is not the wisdom that belongs to this world or to the powers that rule this world---powers that are losing their power. 1Co 2:7 The wisdom I proclaim is God's secret wisdom, which is hidden from human beings, but which he had already chosen for our glory even before the world was made. 1Co 2:8 None of the rulers of this world knew this wisdom. If they had known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.

Everyone has their own ways of living but it is always better to have a nice view of the afterlife thus it would not be so dark. May everyone view/belief lead them to a long happy life.

I would respect your path if you followed it (I mean that as the christian church on whole) If you shouted down those who would harass those of differing beliefs, told your leaders to stop making arrogant and idiotic statements, Stop attempting to pass out bibles in schools. If you live and let live. If you actually did as Jesus instructed you to.

I respect that your way works for you and others on your path.

I would respect anyone of your path more if you respect that others have paths that work for them.
