I know this doesnt go here, but I trust you guys for honest advice. My son will be 10 next month, his dad has had nothing to do with him untill may of this year. He went in for brain surgery in April. we tried and tried to get ahold of his dad, he just wanted to talk to him before surgery, we did find his number, called and his Girlfriend hung up several times on my son. so we found where she worked, and emailed, her, a few teachers and the principle, explaining the situation, and letting her know who it was she was hanging up on. well, that got there attention. she said she thought it was a prank call. well since then, neither me nor my son our aloud to call the house, we have to call his dads cell. my son went to visit last weekend and asked her if he could call me. she said no, that she didnt want me having her number. he asked why and she said that I did something very mean to her and if she wanted she could send me to jail for a very long time. this scared my son to death. I have

I'M NOT A SATANIST OR ANYTHING!

I was simply curious.

In Chritian belief, Angels (like Lucifer) were perfect spiritual beings (but can still sin but the only sin they were capable of was Pride and Envy and nothing else).

Now, what if God let Satan overthrow him in the beginning of time?

Fast facts first:

Satan did NOT create Hell, God did.
So, if Satan would have overthrown God, Hell (together with eternal punishment) wouldn't exist.

Satan simply wanted to be equal or greater than God and that's why he wanted to sit on his throne and command everything and would care about the welfare and development of his people, like a king would.

Angels in Heaven are never evil. They can simply be prideous or envious coz that is the only sin that they can make.

At this time, since sin is not an issue because Satan is now the new god, Satan would have no reason to corrupt Adam and Eve because they would now be 'his creatures'.

My sister in law had a baby shower a couple weeks ago and I just got my thank you. I realized when I read it it was my mother in laws writing. I find this pretty rude that she couldn't take the time to write everyone thank yous, her mom did it for her. She's 24 years old, pregnant with her first child and doesn't work. I see no reason she couldn't do it herself. What do you think?

Just noticed that the atheists here so bent on putting down any one with any beliefs. What motivates you to be so patronizing, and derogatory? Even if you don't believe in any kind of supreme being Christians, and religion in general has done a lot of good for the world through charities that feed the hungry, help the homeless and even help victims of domestic abuse. And usually these charities won't even try to convert, or force their beliefs down you throat. Let's not forget how the American Red Cross began.

I can think of very few Athiest organizations that seek to help others, and judging from your represenatives on Yahoo answers, you come off as very angry, cynical self centered people. Can't you just respect that other people have their own personal beliefs with out being insulting?

...that they have been persecuted for their beliefs and Atheists have not? I don't believe in God and I live in Arizona, which means I've gotten persecution all my life. Do some Christians not realize the ammount of persecution they have thrust upon Atheists as well as other religions? The Mayans? The Aztecs? Pagans?

I know Christians have been persecuted, but saying that Atheists, Agnostics, and even other religions have not is just insane. (And no I am not calling Atheism a religion or not here, thanks)

Any thoughts?

My grandpa and i were extremly close and he taught me about everything i know about christianity and God and always encouraged me to be a better person..
And i was wondering about the connection people in heaven have with people on earth...when someone dies everyone says of they hear you just talk to them but really when they get in heaven do they have any clue whats going on, on earth...Is there any place in the bible that talks about this!?

If Pagans knew the true glory of God, they would not worship Satan. Yet they talk about Christianity like they know evryything about it, and reject it based on their knowledge. Don't woman already know the difference between some poodle and a gentleman? Ya ok if you like being howeld at and you figure it's all about growing up and it's a free country , have fun , live life to the fullest , and that it's about being a youth or whatever. The last ten years of research seems to support the prevailing theory among researchers and doctors, that gender dysphoriea [Transsexualisum] is not a mantel disorder, but rather a birth defect. Much the same as being born with a bad heart valve.
There is an anatomical difference between a male and a female brain. It possible to hand a medical student a human brain and ask the student; "Is this brain male or female?" and by checking certain structures IN the brain the student can say that the brain is either male or female. but the student may not be able to say if it's from a man or a woman it MAY be from a gender dysphoric person.

IF this research turns out to be right… Will you reevaluate your personal position regarding transsexuals?
