Yes, I have. Every day in fact. And I am not psychotic.

Your question tells me that you are either an agnostic or an atheist. Well-known scientists have discovered God. You only have to examine the hard evidence with an open mind and you too will find God. Go to the links below to discover the scientific truth of God.

Albert Einstein wrote in his book "The World As I See It" that the harmony of natural law "Reveals an intelligence of such superiority that, compared with it, all the systematic thinking and acting of human beings is an utterly insignificant reflection."
He went on to write, "Everyone who is seriously involved in the pursuit of science becomes convinced that a spirit is manifest in the laws of the Universe--a spirit vastly superior to that of man, and one in the face of which we with our modest powers must feel humble."
A very significant statement indeed, wouldn’t you say?

God wants to show how much he loves and cares for you. St. Augustine said, “our hearts are restless until they rest in thee.” I, too, found God the hard way like St. Augustine. Seek him. He wants to embrace you.

Peace and every blessing!

Yes I have experienced God first hand.

My experience was through a Reiki session last summer. I was brought to God by three Spiritual Beings of Pure White Light. My vision of God was one of Pure White Light . . . Pure Energy. There was an absolute knowledge that the Pure Energy was God . . . As was the communication. I've shared the story of my experience a few times already on this site.

If one is asking " How can I also experience God first hand ? Tell me how I can do this ". My reply is . . . begin your spiritual quest / journey and the experience will happen when, how and as it does as each person's experience of the manner in which they experienced God first hand is unique.

Blessings to you.

Yes! You can experience God in a tangible way too.

I experience God through prophetic insight. Often, I will know ahead of time if something will happen that is stressful (no I'm not a clairvoyant). God will give me insight to problems that I never would have had on my own. I have seen physical healings before my eyes. ETC.

God will seek you, if you seek Him. Ask Him and let Him know about your doubts and see what happens. Start reading the Bible and you will see direct answers to your modern problems. Bless you and don't give up until you find HIm.

I have experienced Him many times in prayer and in everyday life. One place I encounter Him most powerfully is at Church, in receiving the Holy Eucharist, and in going to the Sacrament of Reconciliation. Both of those are very powerful. I also experience God in everday life by being able to let go of everything and abandoning myself to God. It is harder than it seems, especially when you have a lot on your mind, but the more you practice prayer the easier it becomes. Ignatian Spirituality is my favorite, because it best fits me, but there are other types as well (such as Augustinian). That would be my advice as a Catholic. The joy from such experiences is indescribable, but in this noisy, impatient and doubting world, many have not, and sadly never will, experience it themselves.

Anyone who believes they have is either under the influence of drugs or delusional.

Replace the word "God" with "Domino's Noid" or something and you would be heavily medicated and forced to undergo intensive therapy.

"A casual stroll through the lunatic asylum shows that faith does not prove anything."

"Religion is comparable to a childhood neurosis."

"Faith is a wonderous thing; it is not only capable of moving mountains, but also of making you believe that a herring is a race horse."

Back when I was a nice Jewish girl, formerly from the suburbs of Philadelphia, PA yet at that time from somewhere near Fort Lauderdale, FL, I was studying 2nd degree Reiki. During my attunement process, I had a clear vision of being lifted up into the arms of the Christ (whom I recognized without really knowing how / why), and I instantly became an infant and was cradled by Him. He blessed me, kissed me, and put me back down, whereupon I returned from my meditative journey with tears streaming down my face.

While I began to embrace the awareness of the Christ Consciousness, I did not become a baptized Christian until 13 years later. (My Bat Mitzvah??)

A beautiful experience; one I will never forget. I cannot begin to tell you how to experience it for yourself. It is about vibrations and energy and attunement to the highest levels of consciousness. That is the best I can do for you with the "how to."

Of course! I experience his love every day. I know that it's God working through me when i make the choices of volunteering for the community, and I know that God gives me the strength to be happy and thankful in stressful situations. This world is very corrupted with hatred and animosity, and so when I see loving and kind people, I know God is working through them. Now wouldn't you call that a first hand experience of God? =D
Don't wait to experience God, just look around and you'll see...or pray to him to give you the strength to see his wonderful works through all the turmoil in this world.
You don't have to "see" it visually with your own eyes, just have faith, remember the quote:
"Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see." Hebrews 11:1
I really do hope you get a chance to experience God! =]

I think I can honestly say I have experienced "God". I feel God's presence when I am at peace with myself and with the world around me. I feel God's presence when I am not at war with myself and feeling conflicted, torn between radically opposite values and desires.

This does not mean that I see God with my eyes or feel God's presence with my physical senses. As Christina Rossetti wrote: "Who has seen the wind? / Neither you nor I, / But when the trees bow down their heads, / The wind is passing by." Or as the Old Testament puts it, God is not in the fire, the wind, or the earthquake, but in the small, still sound of silence.

I have felt His spirit in my life MANY times.

One thing I have learned over the years is when you pray, there are two parts. You talk to God and then you LISTEN. If you don't listen, you are only doing one part of it. Listening is important since that is when you could feel His presence in your life and get your questions answered.

I know that this might sound strange, especially for people that don't believe in God. Please don't discount my beliefs. I know this happens!

Not entirely....glimpses is more how I would describe it. While praying mostly, an overwhelming feeling of intense love. Brought me nearly to tears. My aunt saw a vision (while awake) of Christ on the cross, while recovering from surgery when she had cancer....He was crying for her. My husbands Grandfather met Jesus in his fields several times and often in his later years before he died talked about their conversations. I think it happens when you have an intensely close relationship with our Lord. I don't always, often I drift away...it happens to all of us sometimes, I try though.
