Should Roe vs. Wade be overturned, and abortion made illegal, in all cases, how should a woman be punished should she get an illegal abortion?

What about the person who performs the illegal abortion?

The father of the child, should it be proven that he knew about the intended illegal abortion, or helped the woman obtain one?

For the above three, is jail time the appropriate punishment? Required counseling, community service, probation, fines?

If jail, how long? (the average time served for the murder of another person is currently around seven years in the U.S., for reference)

If fines, how much?

Why?

What about pregnant rape victims who get illegal abortions? Or the mother who aborts the child with a birth defect? Should the punishment be the same, different?

Note to all: I am not necessarily pro-life, or pro-choice. I haven't expressed any opinions in this question, so please answer without bashing my personal beliefs, with I have yet to reveal in this question. Thanks

OK...so I was thinking...constantly we have people like the phelps family, and many others, who claim to preach the "good word" but they usually don't....

Would God punish us if we created a mob and killed them and then protested their funeral with signs saying "God hates stupid people like the phelps family"?

Why are people so overly critical and why do they tear down people who have genuine questions? I'm not saying I've been 100% nice and that I've never criticised anyone but where's the fun in telling people they're stupid for asking questions? That's what Yahoo Answers is here for!!

If you had a backup account and saw the same people you see with your main account but they didn't know who you were?

Not that I would ever to that.

Also, would it be against your beliefs to not let your contacts know?

I have a T-shirt that reads this, its an L Word tank top/spagetti strap top. I've never worn it before seeing as how I am in the closet, I'm going to a gay bar tommarow and thought this would be an appropriate t shirt to wear. Its ladies night at the bar. Is this t-shirt innapropriate, or will most ppl just understand its from the L Word and funny?

I've been wondering about this for a very long time. I have a spiritual religion, btw (dunno why that matters). So, what do you believe? My dad and boyfriend are both atheists, and they aren't really that clear on what they believe. So, where do you think we go when we die?

Isn't it frightening to think that after you die, you aren't going anywhere else? Or do you believe in reincarnation? Just tell me what you believe!

Hi guys, I need an advice about how to peacefuly handle a neighbour problem. This guy living next to us has taken a habit to park his car in front of our house on daily basis even though, his driveway is empty and there is no one parked in front of his house.

Now, I am well aware that the street is a public space but a common decency tells me otherwise...I mean friends and family drop by all the time and they have no where to park (we already have two cars in our single-line driway).

My husband has approached him today about this and asked politely if he could kindly park in his space since we need ours. To which he replied "Is there anyone parked now???" Since the answer was no, he's still parked in front of our house...

Obviously, he's looking for a fight. Any suggestions how to handle this problem without making this worst than it is???
Please help! Thanks!!!

I really could care less what some guy named Paul says -- I don't pray to Paul every night, and I don't go to the house of Paul on Easter Sundays.
I want to know where none other than God says gay people are morally wrong.

While I wait, chew on this--
Separation of church and state should clarify to people that because God says so isn't a legal reason for Gay marriage to be illegal.
Even if the separation of church and state didn't exist, and the U.S. or wherever was Christian, Gays being morally wrong doesn't mean no marriage. Murderers are allowed to marry, and they even have a commandment against them.
If god didn't want gays to exist because they are foul beings, why would he have created them? Don't say free will because if we had completely free will, without God giving us any ideas, their would be the controversy of people loving rocks, or thinking that tearing down buildings was murder.
We don't think things without God giving us a little guidance.
