OK...so I was thinking...constantly we have people like the phelps family, and many others, who claim to preach the "good word" but they usually don't....
Would God punish us if we created a mob and killed them and then protested their funeral with signs saying "God hates stupid people like the phelps family"?

That's even BETTER!!! Life in prison...with shanks and rapers and murderers and robbers...
Ha! lets have them preach in prison! they wont last long...and soon willing or not, they'll be gay people too!

A mob against the Phelps pyschos? Where can I sign up??? These people are insane! I think God would still punish us though but probably not to horribly like maybe we would have to clean the gates for a while. Very favorable opinion here in KS to get rid of them. God don't like ugly and they are very ugly.

Bible does not say it is wrong to kill - it says 'do no murder'.
Many appear say they preach the word and don't. That will never end. The Phelps family demonstrate how perverse matters can get - they have nothing to do with Christianity or God.

Thank you for posting your question. I googled the Phelps family and can see why your probably sicken by the hate that they radiate in the name of God. We need to pray for them because they must terribly miserable. No one can have such a bitter mission in life and know joy. I believe they enjoy the attention they receive from the media and others that get upset at their tactics. I feel being ignored would kill their crusade and pop their little poisoned bubble.

Yes He would. Who are you to say that God hates anyone? If you are a Christian you had better be asking forgiveness for even coming up with a question that eludes to Gods hate of any human regardless of what they preach. He does hate sin but not the sinner.

I know who the phelps family is, they have that special combination of money and stupidity, and they drive me up the wall. However... this does fall into the category of "Turn the other cheek."

The only evidence I could find (and frankly I did not look long) did not suggest that they actually did anything. They just talk bad s**t. While a cursory look at their website was disgusting it did not seem to incite to do anything except, in my case puke. If you try to limit the right of these people to talk and or rant you will only cause them to act eventually. Let them rave on that men may know them mad.

I say throw them into general population at prison and let the inmates have a ball.
and I don't know about you guys but I sure hate when these kind of people ( who are NOT real Christans) give us a bad name..there fruits bear witness of them and there fruits are hate and rottenness
