Why on and inside the literature are all the Biblical characters always White? Even Job and the Ethiopian Unich, and Adam & Eve, they are all portrayed as being White. If Jehovah's Witnesses are to preach in truth why is it that they cannot depict the Bible characters as the way they truly are? Why must everything be White and esp. in America?

For instance, Job was the greatest Oriental the Bible says in the land at his time, yet when you see pictures of him in the Watchtower and Awake, etc., his skin is so pale white and his eyes are blue, nothing truly depicting an Oriental at all.

Again, Adam & Eve were of dark skin as that was just those two who walked the earth at the time of their existence until Eve bore children. Over the years the skintone of Adam and Eve has gotten so blinding white and even the society paints them with blue eyes now.

Some of the publications show mostly white, but pictures of other ethnicities "in the new system" but it's quite obvious mostly white.

Please atheists, I truely believe in God, and I'm greiving so much right now, I can't handle any rude remarks about God.

My Mother just died last Wednesday. I know in the bible it says "To be absent from the body, is to be present with the Lord." And I know Jesus said to the thief on the cross that "Surely you will be in heaven with me "today". But, then it says that the dead are sleeping. They know nothing. Untill the ressurection I assume. Can anyone explain any of this to me. I'm so confused. I don't understand. I'm just wondering more now because of my Mother. I KNOW she was saved and accepted Jesus as her savior. I hope this makes sense to you. Please help me to understand this more. My heart is hurting. And I'm praying to God for help. It's only been a few days and I know it will come in time for me, but for now, it just really hurts.

My boyfriend is turning 30 this year, we have been dating for 3 years. I want to organize a small get together at a restuarant w/ myself and his family. This would include his siblings and their wives w/ their children. As well as his parents and grandparents. In all, about 9-13 people.

I would really love to pay for everyone, but I don't think I could afford to do so.

Would it be rude for everyone to pay for their own meal?

How do you know if your prayer reach up to heaven and God heard it?

I think people can sometimes be too vain when it comes to prayer. God can't possibly answer every single one of our prayers. Sometimes the answer is no because it's for our own good. Agree?

Aren't you tired of atheists distorting this to attack us?

When Jesus was on earth, He was a mortal, just like you and I. We have a Guardian angel watching over us. Would that mean Jesus had one too? I'm not talking about God watching over His Son, or the angels in heaven, just a special angel assigned to Him like one is assigned to us!

First off, i am a christian in my sense of the word, i believe in christ and god, but i dont believe in the bible particularly and i dont like blindly following. So anyway my question is why do so many christians (or maybe other religions, but i mainly see christians doing this) believe that you will go to hell if you don't believe in God? How much sense does it make that a forgiving god would punish you eternaly for not believing in him? a point one of my friends made was that godless people usually arent held by morals... but if that is true why are there so many fanatic cult killings over godless killings? Budhists who follow budhist beliefs are very good people, but many of them dont believe in a god... so why do they go to hell? how much sense does that make? and go ahead and send me quotes from the bible but i doubt they will answer my question.

If the name Jehovah is so important, then why is it Never used in the entire Greek New Testament?
If men edited out the name of God, "YHWH" when they copied the New Testament, as only the Watchtower organization claims, then how can we have any confidence in any of the New Testament?
Should we discard the New Testament or the Watchtower organization as Unreliable?

Extremism of any kind is irrational and could lead to violent action. The world should watch out for the new breed of Terrorism that is being inflicted on humanity by the do-gooders who claim to save the planet, the ozone layer and wildlife! Many of these people are loonies - so be careful how far you go with your extemist friends. Of course there are people with genuine fears - but you should use your intelligence and support the activists who DO NOT USE VIOLENCE.

Don't you hate that? Jesus is NOT imaginary. While it may be true that there is no scientific evidence he performed the miracles, guess what? There were NO video cameras or photographs back then. OF COURSE there is no solid evidence. What do you want? A video on youtube?

Don't atheists drive you nuts?

I asked this question earlier but I got the some old lame answers, which indicated they don't get it! Here's the explanation again, and I've added more in added details to clarify things!

The Bible says, "You saw me before I was born and scheduled each day of my life before I began to breathe. Every day was recorded in your book!" [Psalm 139:16]

---God had already decided what you will do each and everyday of your life and He's already officially recorded it down!

This verse clearly indicates that God not only knew our future, but He also predestined it! Christians classical argument for a God that knows our future is, "God knows our future but He didn't make our choice". This statement cannot be true because it is cleary written, "(God)scheduled each day of my life before I began to breathe". Now this clearly contradicts with the concept of free-will doesn't it?

They do it do me all the time! I don't care how old or how young they are. Sometimes, it's "Yes, Ma'am" after each statement I make. It drives me crazy!
If the person is under 18 or 21, it's OK. If we are in a social situation as equals, I don't want to hear it, especially if the person saying it is old enough to be an older relative. It's OK if the person is in a job or acting in an official capacity.
I have always stressed the importance of good manners to my family, but I grew up in the South. While I am too young to remember a lot of things about segregation, I can remember some of it, but I didn't understand it. "Yes, Ma'am" is one of those phases that I associated with that time when everyone was not equal. I guess that is why I don't like hearing it, because I refuse to let them be less than I am. We will always be equals.
I will use it for an older person out of respect, just like I was taught, but I still dislike it for myself.

In so many verses it lies! In psalms it says god has a plan and sets up birth and death and later it says he doesint! and it says if you have a rebelious child bring him to the town square and stone him to death! what the hell is up!

"You saw me before I was born and scheduled each day of my life before I began to breathe. Every day was recorded in your book!" [Psalm 139:16]
Ok, God planned each of your days as proven in the verse. You Christians, however, will say that God just numbered our days not saying what will happen during the interval. So if birth is destined by God then abortion is God's plan. If Sussie was killed by a murderer it was God's plan using the murderer as a puppet. If Ken died by cancer it was God's plan. So why do you Christians condtradict yourselves by praying for safety or being against abortion? No amount of prayer will change anything anyway. Why pray? Whether you pray or not the child will be aborted, Sussie will be killed, and Ken will die of cancer anyway. You can't mess with God's plan(that would make him not so divine eh?) The verse is clear so don't twirl it around. Focus on my question. WHY PRAY IF GOD ALREADY DESITNED DEATH AND BIRTH?

I traveled around the country a bit when I was younger, and stayed in hostels in San Francisco, Seattle, Santa Barbara, and other cities. Many nights there are empty beds in the hostels. Why doesn't the left give those empty beds to homeless people? They're always so concerned with the homeless, and so dismissive of christians who open missions to house them. Surely, they could use their liberal dogma to open their arms to the homeless.

Oh, that's right. You have to have a passport with an international stamp to stay in most hostels. That keeps the homeless out, as well as any blacks who might be looking for a $20 bed in San Francisco. Hypocrisy? You bet!
