Serious question. No offense intended. This is for real self searching.
Please don´t answer with verses, I won´t read them.
Be sincere, you´d only be fooling yourself if you´re not.

I mean you no disrespect with this question.

You believe you exist, and I believe you exist. But what, besides your parents, caused you to come into being?

And if your answer is only your parents, then what caused them to exist and all their ancestors to exist? Your answer cannot be God, because you are a proclaimed atheist, so what was the original cause?

I sincerely hope your answer is not an anarchy of random atoms, for then I would have to ask you what caused them to exist or to act so randomly, and fortuitously.

you'd think someone with such strong convictions wouldn't be afraid of a little feedback. maybe, she's afraid she'll hear something she can't explain away, and be forced to rethink some of her beliefs.

they turn around and throw their silly biblical versus at us?(Out of context)

When ever a Christian can't justify all the horrible verses found in the bible, they say that you must read the whole bible, and that it is taken out of context. If that is the case, then why do you pick and choose a verse from the bible and throw them at us? Aren't you taking them out of context?

My bro died 6 years ago. i got a call from a cousin telling me that my brother is stuck in the dark and can't get out that I am the only one that can help him. that I need to pray for him so he can get out and rest in peace. I would do anything for him. He was killed so did not get a chance to talk to me. I find it hard to belive that he is not in heaven. I want to find a way to contact him and ask him what he needs so i can take care of it so he can cross and rest.

I always see people talk about how much of a sin homosexuality is, but when it comes to the other sins mentioned in the bible (eating shellfish, wearing clothing of mixed fabrics, working on Sunday, to name a few) they are not preached against whatsoever. And in fact many Christians engage in these things REGULARLY. So why the double standard? Why should they be allowed to base hate on a "sin" mentioned in the bible if they're practicing other sins themselves?

Luke 14:33
Any of you who does not give up everything he has cannot be my disciple.
Matthew 6:24
No one can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or else he will be loyal to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and Money.
Matthew 19:21-24
Jesus answered, "If you want to be perfect, go, sell your possessions and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me." When the young man heard this, he went away sad, because he had great wealth. Then Jesus said to his disciples, "I tell you the truth, it is hard for a rich man to enter the kingdom of heaven. Again I tell you, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God."
Acts 2:44-45
All the believers were together and had everything in common. Selling their possessions and goods, they gave to anyone as he had need.
Can you Christians do this?

Consider, a person can and they do, point out say for example 80% of blacks go to prison (a fact due to discrimination maybe). Then another person may state "Nearly every black goes to prison". Now either maybe seen as racist and either maybe a real, genuine comment (based on the avaliable government figures). My friend is mixed (white and black) and these days cops in UK are taught they cannot say half cast must say bi-racial. He feels more offended by the messing around of silly political correctness since it distinguishes you more (what happened to being just a "person") and also no matter what colour it is a clear, prominent feature of your being and no silly name labels can stop that. I think we should stop messing around with those silly labels, political correctness etc... And really focus on DOING SOMETHING! Without infringing peoples right to free speech as long as it is within the confindes of the law and peaceful. Sweeping problems under the mat is not right Dont you agree?

I've struggled with anorexia and bulima for about 5 years or so. I've been trying to recover the last two years (I see a therapist now, and I was in the hospital for awhile). I always feel really guilty about having an eating disorder, I mean it's not like I tried to get one or anything, but I always get the feeling that I'm a bad person and that God is probably mad at me for it. I'm kind of afraid to talk to my priest about it, since I'm not quite sure what he'll say. Am I more worked up about this than I should be? I mean I'm trying my hardest at recovery but I'm really worried that I'm sinning when I relapse.

This question requires self examination. We could all love God more in what we do and say.

Do you think you can fool God?

You must love God for who and what He is, not for what He can give you? Or you really serve yourself, not God

Dont serve God to get into heaven, serve God because you love him, and you already are going to heaven because of Christ's sacrifice.

So people consider the Watchtower false prophets just because of wrong expectations of the bible accounts.. So if thats the case, Churches should be all considered false prophets.

1948: During this year, the state of Israel was founded. Some Christians believed that this event was the final prerequisite for the second coming of Jesus. Various end of the world predictions were made in the range 1888 to 2048.

1974: Charles Meade, a pastor in Daleville, IN, predicted that the end of the world will happen

1985: Arnold Murray of the Shepherd's Chapel predicted that the war of Aramageddon will start on 1985-JUN 8-9 in "a valley of the Alaskan peninsula."

Theres many more accounts.. So if you call the Watchtower false prophets, should you call the churches false prophets? Double Standard am I right?

A false prophet is someone claims to have gotten prophecies directly from God himself.

Example:

Pat Robertson
Benny Hinn
